We May Get Georgia On Short Rest

We May Get Georgia On Short Rest

I'm hearing talk of the possibility of Georgia-Clemson being moved to Monday night.  That would give the Dawgs only 4 days to prep for us.  With @Georgia probably being our toughest and most crucial game next year, that could help but be a huge plus for us.

Chad Kelly tweeted that Clemson will play Georgia on Labor Day.

Don't think it matters much... Dawgs are officially back on Spurrier's "rented mule" list and will likely stay there until he's gone...

Georgia is never going to agree to playing on Monday and only having 4 days to get ready for their SEC opener.

However, if Swag Kelly said it's true, it's hard to bet against that... tongue

Georgia and Clemson have a contract that says the game will be played August 31st.  No way we agree to change that and play yall with 3 days prep.

Aint gonna happen

True...and really, who cares if we beat Clemson?  Dont get me wrong, we will beat them.  But it's just a tuneup. The important game that drives the East happens on the 7th.

Cant allow 4 in a row.

What is it with these ACC schools and opening season games? UNotC thought our game was on Thursday 8/29 when it was announced by the Birmingham office on 10/31/12 it was to be a Saturday game on 8/31.

Clemp's coach comes out and tweets the UGa matchup at Memorial is on Labor Day? These games have been wrapped up by both of our AD offices and submitted to the home office a long, long time ago. It is almost as if they don't want either SEC team to show up!

Go Gamecocks!!!

A: We care if you beat Clemson....seriously.
B: Agreed on the 7th
C: Clemson said the same...happened anyway.

I believe dumba$$ is saying this because he knows that UGA will not agree to it with having to play us 5 days later so after he says it enough and gets all his minions to believe it then he will say that the mighty 'SEC' Georgia Bulldogs were scared to play them on a big stage and now they will just have to play on a regular ole' Saturday. He hopes that they will be able to get up for the game now after the big letdown. Just wait and see if it happens.

Clemson's AD Radokovitch says its Saturday, period. Apparently, only Dabo and The Chad were channeling Monday.

I heard ga was going to play climpsun the morning of our game, a double header. I heard it from my brother's best friend's cousin that shook howard's rock like the magic 8ball.

I think Florida will give you a tougher matchup than UGA

Maybe.  Maybe not, for no other reason than we go to Athens and FU comes to Cola.

I hope to watch the dawgs put a beatin' on the taters, quickly bringing their fanbase back to reality.  The LSU win will seem like a distant memory when UGA rolls out of Memorial.

It's up to the dawgs too continue a tradition of an SEC team whipping the taters on opening day.  We need to do the same with the holes and there over confident HC.

There is only one problem ...  "back to reality" implies that they have ever been there.  I have Tater friends.  They still harp on Spurrier's keeping Garcia on the team after his troubles.  I mention their players that beat their girlfriends, have been busted with drugs, etc. and kept playing, but to them, Garcia being caught underage drinking is worse.  That is nowhere in the same hemisphere as reality.
