Breaking: New DL coach is...
According to my sources, Deke Adams is leaving UNC to come to South Carolina to replace Brad Lawing.

Great recruiter, not sure about his coaching skills though. "Show me the money" I guess. Hate to see him leave though. Players really like him.

If he is going to work with Whammy, his coaching skills must be intact. Fedora wouldn't have invited him to join his staff at UNotC if his coaching skills were questionable. At this point, he can ask Clowney, Quarles and Sutton for advice and tips. I am sure he is like a kid on Christmas morning with (soon to be) all of the talent around him. He has a year to fit in with some of the best... and he will. Letterman at Southern Miss; 3 year DL coach there under Fedora, he coached up DE Corrdaro Law to become a 1st team C-USA DE in 2011. He offers much when it comes to recruiting and will work well under Whammy. Quite an opportunity for him and he knows it. Lawing left Sunday midday. Adams was called Sunday night, talked to Spurrier the next morning. Made decision by lunchtime Monday.

Don't you know that the only reason we hired him was to have an advantage against the powerhouse tarhole football team...or some of their posters believe. Newsflash tarholes...we are going to whoop that goat a$$ with or without our new DL coach!

I kept saying this guy was already on their short list before Brad announced his departure. He did not leave us because of football. He loves USC and had turned down offers from Saban.
