So much for the myth that dabo is all about his players

Once Hopkins announced he was going pro early..

dabo publicly questions him and states for all the world to hear that he doesnt htink his own player is a 1st round caliber...

but miraculously apparently if he returns for another year to play...he will morph into one...

That's pretty sad, CNTL. But par for his course.

Go Gamecocks!!!

dabo is all about dabo. Soon as recruits figure that out, they will no longer be an "elite" team.

Dabo is nothing more than a used car salesman! This weekend is a huge recruiting one for the taters. Instead of Boyd simply saying he was coming back next year, they held a press conference! I'm sure it was more of a public address for the recruits saying our QB, who could have possibly gone in the first round of the NFL, is staying because he thinks we can make a run for a championship. You need to come play at Clemson. Everything he's doing right now is a publicity gimmick aimed at the recruits they're entertaining. He probably did the same sales pitch to Boyd that he gave Parker...heads up Taj, it didn't work out so great for Parker. Dildo threw him under the bus and benched him.

I can't wait for their idiot of a head coach to get a warm reception in Willy B when they roll into Cola this year. Hopefully Nikki Haley will show a little class and wear neutral colours and stay away from the tater sidelines like any USC board of trustee would...but then again she is a tater so why would she!

Dabo proved with Kyle Parker that he doesn't know the difference between an NFL prospect and tater salad.

Spurrier says that if a player can go in the first or SECOND round then its in his interest to leave early.

fact is, if a player gets drafted in the first two rounds...they will play in th e pros and odds are they will have a good career. Signing bonuses are good and contracts will be enough to set a kid for life.

Dabo says they have to be a first round to leave early. Apparently he hasnt bothered to study statistics of players who decided not to leave early when everything pointed tyo them doing so.

Its not very good, as very few of them ever have a senior season better than their junior season.

Look at So Cal...do you think Matt Barkley wishes he had taken the opportunity last year to leave early?

Meanwhile Chad Kelly in all his awesomeness rides the bench when he should be out there on the field winning another heisman trophy in the Kelly family tradition. Just ain't fair is all just ain't fair!

Thanks for everything you've accomplished here Marcus....Good luck in the NFL!!

y'all are hilarious!!!.... he plays them when they're hurt??? hello, connor shaw!!!! and, dabo said that he thought hopkins should come back BEFORE he announced he was leaving... so, saying that after the fact was him just sticking to his initial opinion.

lol... parker benched himself by throwing INT after INT after INT... and, y'all are ones to talk about a coach that benches his QB... yours does it like it's a bodily function.

i wish for once y'all could take shots at us that are based on facts instead of your opinion that is so heavily influenced by your hatred for clemson.

you mean like sticking to his guns when he said any committed player that takes officials to other schools will be dropped...probably meant any player except RN because he's just visiting his brother at Ole Miss!

By the way...it's not our hatred of clemtech...it's our hatred of dildo!

your orange glasses are the problem here..

dabo has a player decide to leave his program, so what does dabo do?

talk him down and make public comments that could possibly hurt his draft position..

sure sounds like a "supportive" guy to me..

and honestly...looking at what he accomplished this year...please explain how he will magically improve because of one more year under dabo..

I can onderstand the logic with Boyd...even though I still doubt he will improve himself significantly compared to the risk of lowering himself...but at least there is some logic to his staying...

dabo should have left it at "I wish him the best in all his future endeavors...instead of trying to make himself look like some omniscient guru.

Besides the different in money from lower first round and second round isnt all that great so explain why again a guy would try and lose a year just to jump up a few spots?

Our hatred for clempson pales in comparison to the venom for us on your board. I can't imagine how bad it will be if we make it FIVE IN A ROW.

"Swinney believes unless you are a 1st rounder it's not worth giving up your senior year and Hopkins received "as high as second round grade from the NFL". Swinney said it was not a matter of whether he thinks Hopkins can be successful in the NFL.

"I personally think he will not be just a good pro but a great pro," said Swinney. "I think he has the potential to play a long time."

Swinney said it will be tough for Hopkins to be a first round pick this year, but he would take him in the first round if he could.

"I know I am biased but I am taking Nuk Hopkins because of the things I know about him," said Swinney."

yeah, boy!!!!... that definitely sounds like he's "talking him down"... again... y'all are hilarious...  sounds to me like he sticking w/ his initial opinion about seniors coming back, but he's trying to talk Nuk up as much as possible...
