Heels on Clowney
The nation's largest sports message board is Unc's insidecarolina.com. In the hour after the game, they had a thread with 1700+ hits and almost 50 posts on Clowney. Putting it mildly, they're not looking forward to seeing #7 in the first game next season.

He will eat their TE, LT, running back... anyone else or any combination of the 3, who comes out to meet him... alive. The scary thing is he has 71/2 months to work with Lawing to get even better and stronger.

Our OL will have there hands full with him busting up i agree! He is a beast. but as a Heel Im more worried about our LACK of a D next year and being real young on D than us moving the ball Clowney will get his but well get ours on O also I belive due to the fact of our up tempo and can get the ball out fast!

That game is Saturday, August 31st, according to Gamecocksonline.com. Since the game is played in Columbia at an SEC venue and covered by the ESPN/SEC contract, I imagine this to be the legitimate, toe-to-leather date.

Yeah i saw that but on our sites still saying the 29th in columbia so didnt know if it was confirmed from ESPN either way. Look forward to being there. GO HEELS!!

Cartar, I think your sight has some updating to do. I know coach wants to get away from Thursday starts to the season. The change was completed 10/30 and was finalized/sent to the conference offices in early October (@10/30). Any articles about a Thursday kickoff written prior to 10/31 are factually false. ESPN will announce their coverage mid-summer; close to fall camp. They will base their scheduling of SEC games by getting clearance from the Conference office in B'ham. Thanks for the info and we will show up no matter the day I'll be there early myself i am a south carolina HEEL so only a hr away and looking forward to a good kick off to the season!
