Re: Another Linebacker Off the Board...
IMO when you turn 17 or 18 these young men (not kids anymore) should already know what the word commitment means. If you want to visit other schools fine, but don't commit and then sneak around and take other official visits.. I have no issue with any coaching staff telling a young man his scholarship offer will be revoked, if he decides to visit another school. uscdrugman wrote: http://www.goupstate.com/artic...9960/-1/PSPORTS
Interesting with the Rolin's news...

This kid commited early and I think Ward has been hoping for months that he would decommit...I doubt this is related to Rolin...this may actually be good news with signing day coming up...

RE: Another Linebacker Off the Board...
Maybe we can convert some of the excess WR's and DB's we recruit to LB's?

Theres a plan in place and a strategy that will work. Coach Ward knows the deal.

I try not to stress over recruiting too much. I trust our coaches to get the right players.

Re: Another Linebacker Off the Board...
Kight was projected to be somewhat of a project from what I understand and the staff likely made a mistake offering him so quickly. This kid has been looking around for months now. This comes as no surprise and is actually good news, unlike losing Rolin which hurts a lot IMO.

He's visited other schools, but he never made time to come to a single Gamecocks game. That should tell the naysayers enough.

RE: Another Linebacker Off the Board...
My initial response when they do this is to say "Bye, have a nice trip"...and my 2nd and 3rd response too!
And from what I'm hearing, it was more our decision than his!
