Re: Marcus to enter Draft

Marcus Lattimore is STILL the best college RB in the country and should be the FIRST RB taken in the 2013 NFL Draft.
"Winning is not a sometime thing: it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do the right thing once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing." - Vince Lombardi (NFL Hall of Fame Coach)

Not saying it can or will happen because it is certainly possible, but there has been no decision made as of now.

I don't think that's a good move. He needs to come back and prove he's able to do the job. If he goes now he probably won't get drafted very high.

I agree, but I'm sure the thought of tearing one of his legs up again and never gettin a chance at the NFL scares the ish out of him.

Re: Marcus to enter Draft

I can't possibly see him entering the 2013 draft since he won't likely be able to play football again until 2014.  Would he enter the 2014 draft after being off for more than a year or decide to play his final season with us in 2014 and enter the 2015 draft.

I wish him the utmost best no matter what he does but it makes more sense to play one more year here before entering the draft.

He should stay and complete his degree and rehab on the University's coin, then go in the draft. We at least owe him this.

Has this been confirmed?  Someone who knows a friend of Marcus' mother said not to believe it...

Re: Marcus to enter Draft

Lattimore would be wise to go ahead and enter the draft. His talent is so great and perfectly fitted for the NFL that he wouldn't last past the 3rd round even rehabing from this last injury. He owes it to himself to get that signing/up front money while he still can.

If he were to return and, God forbid, get injured again, he would never be drafted. He should get it while he can, rehab for a whole year and then prove his worth on the field. He can get that big contract after that. Not the ideal way to do it but really his best option to maximize his career earning potential in the NFL.

I will agree with you on this. I'm not an NFL fan anymore, but I'll be watching his new team come the next few seasons. He has nothing else to prove on the college level. I'm sure he would have been hands down Hiesman winner this year and Carolina would have had a better record and facing Bama this afternoon. Much LOVE & support to Marcus!!!

I can't predict the future, but I seriously doubt that he would be drafted in the first three rounds unless he comes back for a year and proves that his knee has recovered. NFL teams don't like to take risks with their coveted early round draft picks...especially on RB,s.
