Game Thread - USC vs. Clemson
It's almost time.
South Carolina and Clemson are getting ready to battle tonight for bragging rights in the state.
The Gamecocks are looking for the first four-game win streak over Clemson since the early 50's.
It should be a cold night in Death Valley.

The big news is at the starting quarterback position where Dylan Thompson is expected to start over Connor Shaw due to a banged up foot.
Shaw will go through pregame warmups but it's unlikely he'll be able to start for the Gamecocks. He could play but Thompson will get the chance.

Sure hope ESPN shows the start of the game on one of those odd channels because OK-OK St ain't gonna be over at 7:00 PM.

Thompson has a nice 19-yard throw to Ellington to pick up a first down. But USC is forced to punt after Thompson is sacked on 3rd down. No field goal and now Clemson ball again.

Clemson strikes first. A 3-yard TD run by Boyd puts Clemson up 7-0 over the Gamecocks.
At least three 3rd down conversions for Clemson, including a 3rd and 15 there, that kept the Gamecocks defense on field. Also, a lot of missed tackles from USC on that drive as well. Need to wrap up here.

Thompson to Ellington for 13-yards and South Carolina has tied it up at 7 a piece. Thompson was impressive on that drive for the Gamecocks. Now USC needs the defense to step it up this series.
