Evidently we have zero chance  (2 votes)
... against the Taters.  That is if you listen to just 5 mins. of Tater Radio. Anybody that says so will be ripped mercilessly for hours. You will constantly hear the following: Clemson's Offense is unstoppable. Clemson will play Bama and BEAT Bama in the Sugar Bowl. SC has no chance for a BCS or any top teir bowl. SC's season has been a disaster (just because we lost 2 road games against 2 top 5 teams). Clemson deserves a shot at the title. The ACC is better that the SEC due to the fact that Clemson and FSU would beat anybody in the SEC. The ACC should just allow Clemson and FSU play for the Conf. title this year. etc...  It just goes on and on all day everyday. After we beat the crap out of them I can't wait to hear what they have to say after talking sooo much smack.

That radio station apparently keeps some panties in a wad. Regardless of the subject matter..........be it sports, politics,................whatever, I've found that 99% of "callers" are usually idiots. As for the regular listeners,.........................not sure how to categorize that group. |

TV has joined in as well. Every BCS prediction show has clemscum in the Sugar Bowl and many of the talking heads say they beat us. Even some say they beat us pretty soundly!
Same thing last year......they don't have Marcus so they can't win. He is their best player and teams don't win without their best player. Breaking News: This is not the Carolina teams your grandfather watched play. There are plenty of talent to go around. We no longer have just one or two good players. We now have a team full of good players and a few great/dominate players.
Oh well.....good thing games are played on the field! |

If they truly had that power, they'd be independently wealthy and would have no need for their job. But they're apparently working, right? Fact is, we lost badly to N.C. State, South Carolina, and West Virginia last season after some similar "predictions" from these same folks. With our defense, we could lose to almost any team. |

Maybe unstopable when it comes to the other weak teams in the ACC but they havent played a good SEC team yet and the only way they will beat us is if we dont show up to play! As far as them beating Bama they must be tripping on acid, Bama isnt Maryland but guess it dont hurt to dream LOL

Except for FSU, Clemson has not palyed anyone ranked in the top 25, and they lost. So it is hard to say how good or bad Clemson really is until after they play USC and their bowl game.

I see this game coming down to our Defense. I think Connor, Ace, Cunningham, and Miles/Davis will enjoy a productive evening against their D. So it boils down to containment of Hopkins and Watkins and Clowney and co getting in Boyd's face and ultimately his head early.

Our offense is pretty good. Certainly better competition will have some effect on just how good. If a defense is able to bring a lot of pressure, it may prove to be no good at all.
Our defense is horrid.( I don't buy into the "we're improving" category ) We haven't played anybody.......................................so how would you know?
The bowl talk is putting the cart before the horse.
Last time I checked, that's usually the first step in getting beat.
For the record( although I really never like to predict hypotheticals )................................................. ...................if we were matched against Alabama:
Alabama 52
Clemson 27
I think they'd run us out of the Super Dome.

They talk about the amount of injuries they have had...OMG...if you receive that many injuries in the EZZ then you wouldn't be able to field a team playing in the SEC. Their schedule and their opponents have been a joke, even if it's not entirely their fault...but it hasn't given them one bit of respectability. No one talks about the taters in any serious discussions and there's a reason for that...not relevant. Commentators still joke about the Orange bowl while doing a game...  |

"They talk about the amount of injuries they have had" - what???... who said anything about injuries... i think clemson's been pretty fortunate in that area. of course no one is talking about us for the BCS title....
because we are 5th in our conference and only 2 teams from a conference can be talked about in that context..
but being the 2nd tallest midget in a conference of them isnt something to be proud about or brag over, now is it?..

Clemson and Fla. State are pretty good teams.....................and they're better than we are.
Just difficult to say where we might stack up, due to our conference competition.

at most 3 teams from the same conference are allowed to go to a BCS bowl..
so again being #5 precludes any realistic talk atthis point in time..
the fact that we WOULD be in SERIOUS discussion if members of ANY other conference.., as opposed to the casual chatter about clemson which is discussed by default..

You might want to listen to your dang coach...jeez, you're a tigger fan and you don't even know what your own head coach has said...typical. He talked about several positions where taterville was extremely thin at and couldn't afford anymore injuries because they had no one to play that has enough experience. It was in response to discussing Maryland going to their 5th string QB and dildo attempting to make comparisons on the injury front. As far as titles go...you mustn't be listening to the hillbilly's that call in not only locally but on Sirius XM and ESPN call in shows. Poor woeful clemmers...we get no respect. Why would you?...if you want to talk about BCS chatter you may want to go back to earlier discussions when clemson didn't even bring the attention a pimple does to a butt! And if Carolina has any say in it...after next week, you may not have to worry about a BCS bowl either.
