FSU Fisher crying over lack of respect in the polls...
http://espn.go.com/college-foo...-pre-bcs-systemAll the years ACC and other conferences complained because the humans were biased in the polls, now that the computers are running the BCS polls and using factors like SOS it is wrong... Just so taters and seminoles understand the concept: FSU- 9-1, SOS 90, versus top 10 0-0, versus top 30 1-0, ELO Chess (Big in the BCS factor) #34. taters- 9-1, SOS 81, versus top 10 0-0, versus top 30 0-1, ELO Chess #31 Just for comparison: USC- 8-2, SOS 30, versus top 10 1-2, versus top 30 1-2, ELO Chess #8 LSU- 8-2, SOS 21, versus top 10 2-2, versus top 30 3-2, ELO Chess #6 The ACC as a conference is trying to exploit how aweful the conference is using Boise State tatics, rack up wins against the worst teams in the NCAA then complain... Why is a 2 loss USC ranked higher in the BCS, we only have 1 loss? I feel I have a much better understanding of the BCS polls now, I couldnt understand why Florida didnt fall out of the top 10 after last week but after reviewing their data had the human element been their as Fisher wants the human factor would have punished UF despite their accomplishments. UF- 9-1, SOS 7, versus top 10 3-1, versus top 30 3-1, ELO Chess #3 Polls are not perfect by any means but keep an eye on the ACC, they may have one or two teams with a decent record, earning that record against sub par competition, then like BSU cry when they don't get the rankings in only their minds they deserve... http://usatoday30.usatoday.com...garin/fbt12.htm

Re: FSU Fisher crying over lack of respect in the polls...
Sorry Rodney, but you don't deserve any respect. Strength of schedule plays a part of this process. The following rating is probably the most favorable to FSU and your strength of schedule still ranks 56th in the nation. Clemson's is 65th. Pitiful. The ACC is an embarrassment to college football. Rank Team Rating High Low Last

Jimbo must not watch video of his team.

Instead of crying to the media, he should complain to the other ACC teams about how pitaful their programs are, except maybe NC State.

Re: FSU Fisher crying over lack of respect in the polls...
They had a shot at doing something about it close to this time last year when the Big 12 came knocking. They held off from joining, as did Clemp, so now that decision is biting them in the azz. They stuck around to be the big fish in the little football pond, claiming their existing conference was competitive.
Karma is a b!tch sometimes.
Go Gamecocks!!!

Big 12 never came knocking.
Rumors, nothing more.
This season, for FSU or ourselves to have remained high in the polls, we couldn't lose a game.........................period.
I don't think FSU is that good, honestly.
....................and they beat us.

Re: FSU Fisher crying over lack of respect in the polls...
Jimbo, you can start off by beating an extremely bad VT team last Thursday night by more than 7 points. FSU didn't look like a top 25 team to me and a loss to hapless NCSU....WTF???
Back to Back for the Garnet & Black!

Re: FSU Fisher crying over lack of respect in the polls...
Beamer had them beat the other night.
............just had to run the play-clock down to 1 second every snap of their last drive.
For some reason, the were snapping the ball with 19, 14, 15, 8 seconds left.
Ended up giving FSU the ball with 40 seconds.
I honestly think he;s becoming senile.

Re: FSU Fisher crying over lack of respect in the polls...
Never came knocking? Perhaps they never came knocking at ole Clem (the original second fiddle in the arrangement), but sounds like they were knocking in Tallahassee! You should ask the FSU BOT Chairman if they "never came knocking"! Haggard (BOT Chair/FSU,per Warchant.com): "How do you not look into that option. On behalf of the Board of Trustees I can say that unanimously we would be in favor of seeing what the Big 12 might have to offer. We have to do what is in Florida State's best interest.
"With the SEC making the kind of money it does it's time to act," said Haggard. "You can't sit back and be content in the ACC. This is a different time financially. This isn't 10-15 years ago when money was rolling in."
My favorite quote: "No FSU graduate puts on his resume or interviews for a job saying they are in the same conference as Duke and Virginia," he said. "Conference affiliation really has no impact on academics."You can only kick the tires if the auto owner allows it. Sounded like someone got permission to kick em at FSU. As for Clem, well we've known for years... and first hand, that your relationship with the ACC has been anything but smooth sailing. We learned the day you backed out of a gentleman's agreement to leave 'em, some 41 years ago. Moth to a flame.
I am curious, when does Notre Dame come to Clempson to play that first match-up? Go Gamecocks!!! gacock

There are two sides to the supposed "gentleman's agreement" that has become a USC myth.
You certainly have the right to your version.

Hey purple, my version is just as reliable as your lack of one.

Re: FSU Fisher crying over lack of respect in the polls...
It must be terribly embarrassing to the ACC that 13 of the SEC's 14 members have a higher strength of schedule than the team with the top toughest schedule in the ACC. VaTech has played the 42nd toughest schedule in the country topping only Auburn of the SEC who has played the 45th toughest schedule. As noted, Florida St 'rough' sched is 56th, and Clemson has played the 65th 'toughest' schedule. Remember when the entire Clemson Nation went ape when they defeated Auburn by a few points to kick off the season? That win surely looks weak today as this season has unfolded. Frankly, I am surprised that Clemson is ranked so high in the rankings given their unchallenging schedule. They have simply romped over what amounts to a Southern Conference-like slate of opponents. To their credit however, they have beaten what was given them, and they had no control of that.

--------------------------------------------- I don't know how good Fla. St. Or Clemson really is, but the Upstate CU fans are very certain they will defeat USC next week. Dabo is sounding the same. I would want out of the ACC if I wanted to really play top football.

Kiwi: You have already seen that facial expression for three consecutive years. I'll describe it in case you have forgotten---His top lip is hanging down over a slightly open mouth, and the lip quivers a little bit. His chin is quivering in spite of his trying to stop it. His hands are jammed way down in his pants pockets, and he's looking at the ground the whole time he is being interviewed. If you look carefully there is a tiny tear welled up in his rheumy eyes, and there is a slight bit of runny phlegm dripping just oh so slowly out of his nose. When he is finally alone, you can see him kick the dirt a little bit, then he spits but it's on a string and it flies back onto his shirt. You can see him peek around a little hoping no one saw that. You can see the look of consternation on his face because he didn't get to say the speech he had memorized about Clemson's record and how it is THE University of South Carolina in South Carolina, dammit. He looks like a pitiful broken man who needs his mommy. Hope that helps, Kiwi!
