Well believe it or not it looks like if we take care of our buisness that we will be in a BCS game - the Sugar Bowl!Some things would have to happen in order to make that happen but right now we are 8th and only 8 teams can go so we have a real shot.

That would be nice, but BCS bowls are not based solely on rankings.  Only 2 SEC teams can go to BCS games, and there are 4 SEC teams above us.  Yes, we could go, but the SEC teams above us would all need to fall apart.  As always, I will keep the faith, but it is more than a long shot.  If we take care of our business, we will get a very good bowl game to finish out the year.  First things first, Arkansas.

There are some things that need to happen for Carolina to become the second-highest ranked SEC team behind Alabama, but it's actually not too much of a long shot. It actually may be easier than it was to win the SEC East going into the weekend.

We would have to win outright, UGA would have to lose to the SEC West champion and Florida would have to lose to FSU for us to have a chance.

UGa will likely lose to Bama and Florida plays at Tallahassee I believe.  If we can take care of business, we could have a shot.  I would think the Sugar Bowl would love to have us.

We have to win out...jawja loses to Bama, Gaytors lose to FSU...and we have a shot.

I definitley think Bama beats the snot out of the mutts. And I already had FSU beating UF...not that I want an EZZ team to beat an SEC team, but Florida has NO offense unless you give the ball to them in the red zone. Mizzou could have beaten them this weekend...the Gators defense is the only thing keeping them in games.

Not to be petty, but isn't the Sugar Bowl always a sellout because of their SEC tie-in?

Regardless, Gamecocks would have a STRONG showing in New Orleans.  It's one hell of a time.  I had a blast there when UGA played Hawaii.

Definitely more hotel rooms and extended stays with us than with LSU.

I was there...just got in from a cruise and stayed a couple of days in New Orleans before flying back to SC. Everyone was having a blast...It would be great to play in the Sugar bowl if things worked out...long way to go to think about that though!

The Gamecocks going to the Sugar Bowl would be SWEET!
