I realize that as a Nebraska fan you guys may or may not like me commenting on your coach but I personally think that what he said was low class. Surely, from a logical stand point, most of you would agree?  |

You'd have to follow the entire history of the verbal sparring to understand. If you did understand, your opinion would be vastly different.

Important note...Dabo's rant is a result of something Spurrier DID NOT say...it was an announcer. Interested to hear how classy you think Dabo's comments were!

I've got my own issues with Bo Pelini, though for the most part, I like him. As for Swinney, I don't approve of what he said on that video either. All this being said, I'm not here to play the childish game of "He did it first." I was merely giving the perspective of an outsider. Sometimes we all need to be honest with ourselves rather than make excuses.

Steve is usually pretty funny but he crossed the line on this. A coach who kows Lattimore spoke very fondly of him and all Spurrier does is take a jab, and not a very good one either. There are times when SOS should just keep his mouth closed. Maybe as he ages he will learn a little, oh wait.......

It is ours. It belongs to a longtime tradition and is important to the fans of both schools. Neither coach knew about it because they were not from here. The fans explained it and they have embraced it. It was an inside joke, so don't worry about it. In the old days it was hand to hand combat. There is a book that tells the story through the years. Classic Clashes of the Carolina-Clemson Rivalry by Travis Haney &Larry Williams is the most recent book. It is in paper back and funny if you enjoy college football.
Actually, Steve was complimenting Dabo for saying something true. Dabo understands it and had to explain it to WYFF news tonight. The press enjoys it and so do the fans.

You must be kidding or something. Marcus loved it. It was a Spurrier compliment saying Marcus transcends football rivalry. The fans and coaches love it. It was a spot of light on a day after our collective hearts were broken. Lighten up.

Rather than make a play about his own school he spent (maybe still) all his time w/ recruits trying to slam ours.... So Dat started this... |

If I were you I'd be ashamed of the way your coach behaved during our bowl game last year.

Spurrier was trying to get a rise out of the crowd that is trying to get over a big loss to their football program.He knows the football team is going to need all the student body's support to get through the rest of the season.What better way than giving Clemson a little jab.I just don't get why some people don't see that.Even Dabo said everyone needs to back off the ledge.He took it as a compliment that he used something he said in his speech.
