So what do you think "great idea" means exactly?

It means he knows but wants to let the appropriate people know and Coach Holmes is professional enough not to let the cat out of the bag.

If you are wondering about Holmes use of the word "great" instead of the usual "good", I don't know Coach Holmes so I don't know if he is prone to miss on word selection or if he is being clever. I guess another possibility is that the local reporter that is being quoted as quoting Holmes got it wrong. I'm not losing any sleep over it though. GO POKES!

I bet his mind was made up after or during the MSU visit... so hope he had the kind of up bringing that made him call our coach and break the news to him. Just a gut feeling but do think the 'gals', SEC $'s, or the relatives pushing him moved him. I sure hope I'm wrong and that the gut is pure indigestion!

If he doesn't want to be here, he needs to go somewhere else. With Dez Bryant, Blackmon, and Cooper, OSU is a nice place to develop receiving skills needed to get you to the next level.

Sadly like the kid that took the bucks to sign with Ole Miss, he'll get a short term bump in pocket money as he heads in and has a college career where he'll either be converted to Saftey or have a whopping 300 career receiving yards. After reading coach Ricklan Holmes quote, "great idea", I'm inclined to bet Ross is coming to OSU.
The subtle use of "great" is what makes me think that. Had Holmes been disappointed in Ross' decision, I believe he would have subconciously used a lesser demonstrative adjective. |

Depends on his vocal inflexion. "Great" could also be "Greeeeaaaaaat" - with a very sarcastic undertone. Either way, I'm confident that Ross is a cowboy...unless he's afraid of a little competition. I hope Fred Ross has a great college experience regardless of where he decides to attend and play football. Of course, I hope it is oSu. From what I hear, he is a solid young man. What an exciting time for Fred and his family (the Mississippi State relatives, notwithstanding).
