Re: Is Brian Williams OK?

He had a wrist injury and was suppose to be out for the rest of the season.  However, his recovery is going well and he will be back playing in the next week.  He was a starter when he was injured, but my guess is he will come back slowly in spells when needed for his defense.

Re: Is Brian Williams OK?

He struggled on Wednesday and throwing him in to the fire against the #2 team on the road was probably inadvisable.  He may have been sore from his first action and held out intentionally.

Re: Is Brian Williams OK?

I know he played Wednesday.  I was hoping he didn't bang it on a pass or something and re-injure it.  Makes the win even better w/o him playing. Hope he gets back to full speed and takes us to a another level.

When you have a very narrow margin of possibility for winning I don't think it would have been the right time to tinker with the rotation.  A good decision IMO to keep him out of this one. (Hindsight is always 20-20 right wink)

I'm glad Christian Sager got to play.

Why was he in the game?

Nothing against Sager, but why was he in the game at that critical point?

I believe we went with a small lineup when Jurick was in foul trouble. Nash and Cobbins fouled out and Brown was out for several plays at the end after he had a hard fall.  He only played three minutes but he made two points with a put back at a critical point in the game.

Not sure who you are referring to, but I was talking about Sager, who did not score.

Maybe he came in to foul somebody due to other players being in foul trouble. I must have mixed him up with Forte.

Re: Is Brian Williams OK?

Sager's three minutes were needed. Three minutes rest for a starter or someone in foul trouble is huge for the stretch run.
Brian Williams is 20 games behind the rest of the team. He may not catch up but I can see him helping the team at some point, if only in the NCAAs.

Re: Why was he in the game?

Because he can be trusted to not screw up and has some defensive and offensive talent. In addition to Brown's injury, playing these guys 38-40 minutes every game will create dead team by March.
