YOU CAN'T IN ANY WAY DENIGRATE, SLUR,TEASE, PARODY, INSULT, MAKE A JOKE ABOUT, IMPLY, CRITIQUE OR EVEN BE PERCEIVED TO HAVE PERFORMED THE FOREGOING ON ANYBODY ON THE LIST FOR ANYTHING FROM THE WAY THEY DRESS, LOOK, ACT, WHAT SCHOOL THEY GO TO, MATRICULATED FROM, WORK OR COACH AT TO THEIR PREFERENCES IN ANY AREAS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SEX, CARS, POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS, ETC... WE'VE CLEARLY CROSSED THE LINE HERE IN T-DOME, AND HAVE ACTUALLY OFFENDED SOMEBODY, GOSH, I GUESS IT'S TIME TO ROLL UP THE TENT.
STAND BY FOR THE LIST FROM BOB.
AFTER WE GET THE PEOPLE LIST, WE'LL GET THE WORD LIST TOO.

FYI, Walt Harris and Buddy Teevans are hardly in the same category as the disabled, racial minorities, and gay people. But then of course that's part of the charm -- or is it the confused conflation? -- of your straw-man yarn.
You'll note that NOWHERE did I propose any "rules" to which all were supposed to adhere. Sorry, that's your fiction, not my idea or proposal. I only said I reserved the right to comment critically on what I perceived as ethically problematic notions and discourse when I noticed them. Let's see if the much balleyhooed "THUNDERDOME" has enough respect for freedom of expression to tolerate the views of those who sometimes take exception to the perspectives and practices of the resident alphas and acolytes.

I miss a lot of the inside the beltway stuff. Who is Bob? is he BTL. and what did he do to offend? Thunderdome is a place one enters at their own peril. It is not for the feint of heart or the overly sensitive. But it is also not mandatory to be here. So critics should lighten up. Finally, even though the dome would not qualify as politically correct, I have never seen any post that willfully denigrates anyone based on sex. creed or orientation. Heck, gay mckay was a welcome poster.
It is so refreshing to be able to go somewhere and call em like you see em. Why is that a problem for people.

Most advertising agencies (Hollywood studios for that matter too) are full of daily dives into the dumpsters of debauchery and bad social form. Or one could also reference the Clinton-Lewinsky years in the White House for context. I find BTL's cultural compass of values to be oddly skewed against frivolity and scatological digressions. We know that when DOC snaps, we're in for a bad smell. No one here agrees with BTL (even on the basketball board) but we still accept him for what he is. By the way, what is he? Who is Bob? We could reference the good book and debate whether Camus or Satre were BTL's idealogical mentors. If we wanted to deconstruct BTL then we should agree to use the MLA guidelines and first read Foucault for guidance. But if no one is up for the extra credit then let's pummel BTL with bits of roadkill and BGL love. He's not a kicker. |

As for your intolerance, you chose to go to Notre Dame and thus agreed to be programmed the fantasy that Roman Catholicism is the only truth and the only route to heaven.
