The Laser Technology with the Cat really really works for me....

The Klystron Tube with the microwave is OK....

The Synthisizer doesn't do much for me...

I recognize everyone's taste is different, so your views may differ...

But, all in all, I think we're capable of much better....

The laser cat commercial is effen hilarious! Best Stanford commercial ever. Oh no, second best, I like that football one they ran about 5 years ago with the white-haired grandma receiving a kickoff and getting plastered...

I liked the Klystron Tube ad the best, Synthisizer the least. The commercials remind me of the LSJUMB -- hit and miss with their humor, but funny and unmistakably Stanford when they're on. I'm happy emulating other schools' football programs, but our advertising should reflect the uniqueness of the university. And I prefer this irreverence to explicitly touting the achievements of the school. But the last series of ads was great too. Regardless of the style and approach of Stanford's ads, as long as they're well-crafted and professional, I'll be pleased.

This campaign does smell of a "Do we really need to advertise?" attitude, however...
