Do sports bars around here get the Big Ten Network?  I would guess so, but I have never checked.  My cable does not.

Most sports bars get DirecTV , so they should get the Big 10 network. It's on channel 610 at 10AM Sunday morning.

I found the Friday game at 5 on Pac-12, but the Saturday game at 10 am is not scheduled on my Comcast Big Ten channel.

The Nebraska game is on Sunday. There is no way Nebraska WVB would play on Football Day. biggrin

Friday Match on the Internet

The Friday night matchup is supposed to be available on internet. There is a link from the Cyclones schedule page.

Re: Friday Match on the Internet

It is... if you are willing to pay at least $9.95 for a one month subscription (must be cancelled or it rebills).

Iowa State's live events page states that by Big 12 Conference rules, they are not allowed to stream matches that appear on live television for free and the video stream is clearly marked as premium content.

Volleyball hits the big time... sigh.

Re: Friday Match on the Internet

If you want to stream online because you are away from your TV set, you should be able to stream through the PAC12 app on your iPad. But if you want to stream because you cannot get it on your TV, I cannot help you.

Both setters and both Boukather and Kennedy were introduced (playing right side).

Re: Friday Match on the Internet

[Xfinity has apparently added support for Pac-12.com (which I have verified) and the Pac-12 Networks app (claimed by another poster).]

For any provider, note that you do _NOT_ have to have Pac-12 Bay Area on your cable to watch it online or on your device... if you have any Pac-12 channel in your package, you have access if your cable company provides it (there are a few cable providers that do not have any online authentication, which is required to get at the content... I think San Bruno Municipal Cable was in that boat last year).

But Humphreys and Kennedy aren't playing (at least right now)... Boukather and Bugg are playing all six rotations (no DS in for Boukather).

Are you sure? I think they changed back recently. Just now I was able to get this game with the PAC12 app on my iPad.

Re: Friday Match on the Internet

Well, they have added Xfinity support on www.pac-12.com, including event streams.  I guess that implies they've have the smartphone/tablet support as well.  No notice to us... very much unlike the introduction of the Pac-12 Networks on their own Web site and apps.

Re: Stanford Cruising Through First Two Sets

I think it's been -15 and -18... the second set involved a long run on serve by ISU, which sided out at 24-11.

It's amazing how much easier it is to play with Stanford if one actually tries to block Burgess (which they finally did).  Part of the reason that worked as well as it did is that Stanford's passing hasn't been very good.  If their passes pull their setter(s) off the net as often against Nebraska as against Iowa State, the Cardinal won't get out of Lincoln with a W.

P.S.  The third set is tied at 6.
