Carmody and the Princeton offense gotta go! (1 vote)
There is zero chance of making the NCAA tourney again this year. The Princeton (pass it around the perimeter) offense may be fine for the Ivy League, but will never, ever, cut it in the Big Ten. There are so many good young coaching candidates that could make NU Basketball more exciting, more sucessful, not to mention attract some players. (i.e. Fitz). The guy has two 7 footers and a 6-9 power forward and has no clue how to use them. Princeton offense = pass around the perimeter until the shot clock runs down and then force a 3- pointer. There is no inside presence, no transition game, no post ups, no penitration, and no one to score off the dribble. Injuries or not, Carmody has got to go, period!

Re: Carmody and the Princeton offense gotta go!
I must admit that I am in total shock that the Cats took down the fighting Ilini in Champaign. Not sure if it was that cats played great or Illini played horrible, or a combination thereof. But an impressive win! The shooting percentage and 3-pointer percentage made offense look really good. But what really impressed me was the defense against an athletically superior team. Got to take my hat off to Carmody for defensive game plan. Best defensive effort I've seen from a Carmoody team in a long, long time.

Wildcats played with energy, shots fell from 3pt line, and Jared Swopshire played well
