Northwestern out for James Clark 

Since I am in Orlando, I can see the coverage from James Clark's most local newspaper.

The Sentinel reported this morning that Clark has winnowed his list down to three -- Florida, Ohio State and Clemson. Looks like Northwestern is out. Clark said he has made his decision but will wait until Wednesday to reveal it. Seemed like he was impressed with Florida's academics and that helped him feel comfortable with this list. So there is that.

I wonder if there's a mistake, as we supposedly had earlier made the final cut of 3. Maybe the Sentinel reporter got us confused with Clemson (maybe had a bias that we couldn't have possibly made the cut). Clemson doesn't strike me as having good academics, whereas I could see UF and even dOSU (gag) making such an argument.

The eternal optimist in me I guess.

Based on the photo that accompanied the story of him clearly holding a Clemson hat... not so much.  Someone in New Smyrna Beach appears to be REALLY enjoying the attention of the recruiting process.

I suppose he should enjoy it. I always kinda wonder if these are the kids who will grow up and send their wife a Anniversary card that reads, "Congratulations! You're married to me."

I prefer to think of it as "dose of reality," but that works too.

It's too bad -- seems like we were in on him early enough to make a difference, but just got overtaken by the "name" schools after he had a heck of a senior year to garner more national BCS attention.

When I started reading up about him. Always seemed like he was waiting on Florida to give him an offer. Northwestern was in on him early which is becoming their m.o. You don't see the Wildcats have much Signing Day drama.
