Tomorrow ...

I'll preview the Northwestern secondary. Who are you excited to see step into a key role?

A healthy VanHoose. Not that he wasn't a key last year, but he would have made a ton of difference in the meat of our B1G schedule last year.

Also hopeful DJ Jones can keep up the momentum he showed throughout the year.

Was hearing great things about Dwight White, who was having a similar redshirt year to what we heard from Van Hoose. Thought Jones played well at the end of the season, apparently passing by seniors Evans and Dugar.

Also, would love to see and expect Traveon Henry to step up and into the full time safety role opposite Campbell.

Yeah, I think Chris is high on Dwight White too.

But I'd agree that unless something dramatic happen, Jones is the starter opposite Campbell.

People will remember the failed pass breakup against Michigan. Save for that, he had a decent season. Excited to see what he can do. Still, depth at that position would be nice if some of the young guys can impress.

Really? I would have thought that Van Hoose is a lock at corner, and Campbell would stay at safety.

Yeah... Campbell is a safety (and a DAMN good one) and won't be moving off that spot.

Should be an All-B1G type next season as a junior and push for All-American honors his senior year.

Re: Tomorrow ...

This is the only unit on the team in which I do not have confidence in our depth. The OL is unproven, but my guess is that several backups will not be far behind our starters. I may be overly optimistic here. At every other position we will have great competition for playing time. We easily have three or four RBs, our DL goes three deep in each position, our WRs should be deep, our LBs are two deep at least, and even our QBs split time. In our defensive secondary, if our starters go down, we may have real problems.
