The list of great Purdue QBs reads like a "Who's Who" book of college and pro stars. The school never has significant academic or disciplinary issues, stays clear of NCAA sanctions, and plays in a neat old-fashioned grass field stadium. I thought Hope was a good fit and that, given time, he would do well there. This move seems like the result of uncharacteristic panic. While I would hate to see Mick move anywhere, he could do alot worse than Purdue.
Apparently you haven't been paying close attention. Purdue has had some of the lowest grad rates in the conference for quite a while now. Disciplinary issues? They have a recruit serving 40+ years in the slammer. As MR95 once wrote, they're 2 clowns short of a circus. I say they've got all the clowns and just need a trapeze guy and lion tamer.
Their stadium is a fetid dump, too.
Otherwise, I like Purdue.
