Kain, Venric expected to play 

Coach Fitz tells the media that both Kain Colter and Venric Mark should play on Saturday against Illinois. 

I am away on a brief vacation, so Jamie Arkin will provide details from the Monday presser.

How is Van Hoose doing? Will he be back for the bowl game?

I think VanHoose will try to play for the bowl game. Although we could sure use him for the Illinois game.

I am pretty sure they will keep him out unless he feels close to 90%. One bad tackle and he is out of the bowl game for sure.

Fitz sounded optimistic about Nick's progress, as noted by Medline today. I don't think that means much for Saturday, but I'd be surprised if he missed the bowl game.

Last season he kept giving us false hopes regarding Persa.  Don't believe anything he says about injuries.
