The Big Ten and Pac 12 have supported the Rose Bowl and the bowl system for years, despite calls for a playoff and other indignities. I do not think the Bowl will sell us out on this one - just my opinion.
If Oregon goes to the NCG, there may not be another BCS eligible team in the Pac 12 by virtue of the losses would occur for that to happen. Right now Stanford, Ore St, UCLA and USC are around the 14-20 BCS rankings but they all play each other in the next few weeks, plus the Pac 12 CCG vs. Oregon, so none of those "bubble" Pac 12 teams is likely to survive for BCS eligibility.
The most likely scenario would actually be if Oregon did not go to the NCG. Say Oregon won its last 2, UCLA won its last 2 then beat Oregon in the CCG, then there would be 2 Pac 12 BCS teams without Oregon even going to the NCG.
