Interesting, Carlos will be trade bait for Houston within 5 years and go to a contender or at the very least sign a nice free agent deal.

^Not necessarily, Houston has put together some very good picks in the last few drafts. To pair up Carlos with their last number one pick Appel gives them a great top end rotation.

Maybe you are right. It is interesting to see where they have players slotted. I do not think Atlanta would pick a Canadian with so southern boys so close to that pick.

ACC has proven to be, if not the best, a top 2 baseball conference. 4 Super Regional hosts this past year.

Unfortunately the ACC will be considered overrated by many pundits until it finds some postseason success.

I think that's more fan talk than actual pundits. I doubt "many" that cover the game would consider the conference overrated tbh. The quality in this conference is undeniable.

And besides, we put just as many in Omaha every year as the SEC does. When you represent a fourth of the final stage of the sport, pretty hard to say you're overrated.

RE: 2014 MLB Mock Draft

I grew up an Astros fan. I keep hoping they continue to suck enough to get #1. They currently have an 8 game lead. With the changes in the draft, having #1 is a HUGE advantage because of how much they have to spend on draft picks. So sucking multiple years in a row is the best way to reload for a long run of being a good team. Houston is well on there way to that. They will probably be really good in the second half of the decade.

Love to see Turner go the White Sox.  Maybe he could play for a bit in Winston-Salem.
