To get to mediocre status would be a step up for the WBB program right now.

We fell below the mediocre mark quite a while ago.

and that's disappointing, a coach has to make due with the talent they recruit but they can control the level of conditioning of their players. After her 1st year, didn't KH say she was going to get them in better shape?

TOB accepting a lower buyout may have cost Harper her job.

Here's something else that I find concerning about the team. This season, Kastanek is doing worst than last season in just about every statistical category, and we haven't even reached the heavy part of the conference schedule. The same thing happened last season with Bonae Holston. If you are going to have a strong team, you need your key senior leaders to be stepping up their game, not regressing. Maybe this is just an oddity, but it does raise questions about how players develop under this coaching staff.

That is an excellent question, I spent most of the 2nd half trying to figure that out.  eek

It was a woman.  She was giving it to a Pack fan who was harassing all of Wake's free throw shooters.

I wouldnt say she was THE highlight of the game but she certainly a highlight thinking she was taunting us.  I am only sorry I didn't get the picture of her when she was spanking herself.

I dont know about "giving it", more like making an *** of herself, lol.

After TOB was fired, I said to a friend that I was pretty sure Kellie was next if the program didn't shape up.  I look back at the team that almost beat Duke the other night and wonder where they were today.

yeah & you have to wonder just how serious do they treat athletics when they don't commit themselves to at least be in good playing condition. Having & developing talent is one thing but if these girls just treat playing BB as their PE requirement & don't take it that seriously, you wonder why they deserve a scholly?

I think Coach Harper is done after this season.  This team has been playing really poorly.

Hate to see things deteriorate. Maybe they can turn things around.

Rough going for the ladies this year.

Pulling for them to turn it around! Ladies, keep fighting!

Need a quick turn around or it's Yow time.

It's good to watch a Wolfpack basketball team that's playing hard and having fun.

They will play some better games this season. They just don't have the skills and the consistency to have a winning conference record. We are also seeing the best of what Harper has to offer.

The way things are looking, the team will be lucky to get to the WNIT.

I would go after the Maryland coach. They are leaving the ACC and she just might want to stay in the ACC. However she has already worked for Yow and that may be good or bad.

It would also take some very serious money as reported here.

Fwiw, I like Kelly a lot. She "seemed" like the perfect fit. Young, good resume, learned from the best, good player, people person, hard worker, etc.

But this has been a disaster. Almost feels like she knows what's coming.

I agree, I thought she could do wonders here.  But the lack of recruiting for whatever reason can not continue.  I am also very concerned with the lack of growth at the guard level.  The older guards have regressed.

it goes to show what a roll of the dice a coaching hire is.

Who thought Gott could have changed the whole feel of the men's program so fast or that Michigan would look this powerful with their coach?
