I am planning to attend to see what is supposed to be a pretty good Duke team... as a State graduate it will be painful.... Unfortunately I expect a major beatdown for the Wolfpack Women.  Nonetheless, I will be wearing RED and cheering for them.

Bump for game day. An upset would do wonders.

Let's go ladies! Play together and play hard for 40 minutes. You beat them in the ACC tourney last season. You can do it again. Fight.

Go Pack!

The Dukies haven't forgotten that either. They will be more than willing to return the embarrassment. We will have to be really zoned in for this one.

Duke wins by at least 30.   It'll almost be like another home game for them.

I know. I expect a beat down, too, but I'm wishing for a miracle.

I would give Breezy quality minutes. Local girl who understands the rivalry and has a scrappy way of playing. I would also start Brown but doubt Harper will.

We have enough turnovers as it is. Playing Breezy more would just make the problem worse until she gets a better handle on it.

We need some poise. Goodwin-Coleman is the worst offender when it comes to turnovers. She averages one turnover for every 7 minutes of playing time. That's more than twice the rate of Kastanek. Ashley Eli takes care of the ball as well as anyone on the team.

And Harper keeps starting MGC. Doesn't make sense to me.  IIRC, we went on a run in the Miami game when Brown played.

Brown has as many assists as MCG and fewer turnovers, plus she is a better shooter. Go figure.

And Brown is more poised and level-headed and doesn't get chippy. If Harper won't start Brown, she could at least move Kastanek over to the point, as she did her first season when the Pack made the late run to get themselves into the tourney.

I also don't get the deal with Breezy. When has Harper ever given her any quality minutes? I don't know if it's because of the knee or other reasons. Breezy did lose a step because of the injury, but she could still help the team, especially on the defensive end. Breezy can disappear in games, but I think she's one of those players that if you show you believe her in and still believe in her even after she makes a mistake, she'll keep fighting and push through.

I never understood not keeping Marrisa at the point. I also agree that Brown has more upside than Coleman at the point as well. However both can be a little whacky with the turnovers.

Y'all should be watching. State up 24-23 with 6 left. Great atmosphere. Players are giving it their all.

Yow is smiling.

I was expecting a momumental blow-out by the Bllue Devils. It is great to learn that the Pack is giving 110% in the effort.

Duke up 55-47 with 3:18 left. It may turn out that one really bad, unforced turnover changed the momentum of the game.

OK Kelly ...Kastanik makes a crucial three....then you take your best long range shooter out whose replacement immediately is sloppy with the ball and turns it over....
coaching much?????
