Russell is the best rookie, bar none. Luck doesn't belong in the conversation, but will stay there because he had all the hype and he plays for a team closer to the east.

I think you also have to add Indy's turn around as well. It's not just that he has the hype or east coast team. He's also on a team that is likely going to make the playoffs, so he' warranting some consideration, just based on that (whether that should be a valid reason or not..also RW is putting his team in great spot for playoff as well).
So for as much of a west coast bias you are talking about, leading a team to that big of a turnaround is also just as much a cause as well. Simiiar to the ACC COY and Cutt this year. Was he the"best" coach? Very debateable but because he had such a huge turnaround, that's part of the reasoning.

Another thing with Luck is that this is his second come from behind victory in a row. Not to mention he had a good win against Green Bay in October.
I still think Wilson, overall, has done a much better job than most people could have predicted.

RW has 3 final 2 minute comeback drives... 4 if you count the OT again in the bears game. Luck has 6 4th quarter drives for a win but not last 2 minutes

I think these 'come from behind' stats can be very misleading. Did the the QB have a good game, but his defense finally stopped the other team so they could win? Did the QB have a crappy game for the 1st 3 quarters and finally play good to win in the 4th quarter?

Seahawks/Niners has been flexed to Sunday night on December 23.
Now everyone will finally be able to see what school Russell Wilson says.

My guess: he says "Russell Wilson, Wisconsin" but he'll be wearing a Wolfpack scarf, block S sunglasses, a State baseball cap, "Music City Bowl Bound!!" t-shirt and one of those big red foam "#1" fingers.
I've also heard he wears block S jibbitz in his Crocs and has a set of NC State barbecue tools.

RE: The Russell Wilson Thread (7-5) 12/9 Cardinals
I will hold no resentment toward him if he makes no mention of N.C. State. State made its bed on this subject, and now we all have to deal with it.
I would be a fan of Russell Wilson if he had played at Wisconsin all 4 years. I am a bigger fan due to his time at N.C. State, of course. He's simply a great young man.
