RE: 2012 Washington Redskins Thread
Thus far in two preseason games, Kirk Cousins looks more prepared for the NFL than RGIII. It doesn't mean he's better or will be better. But he sure looks better right now.
BTW, I was against this pick for this very reason.

Sorry Skins fans, I have thought all along that RGIII will be a bust and he has not showed anything to disprove that theory. Vince Young 2.0

Let's give the kid a chance on the field during the regular season before vilifying him, or is that too much to ask?

Granted he hasn't looked very good but it's WAY TOO EARLY to call him Vince Young or dare I say, JaMarcus Russell. FWIW, I was never a RGIII fan because I didn't see enough of him in college and because I had never heard of the guy prior to last season. I'm always skeptical of a quarterback who gets more recognition and pub because of his physical skills/talent than his actual quarterbacking ability.

Lol. Is it going to be like this all season? Every time RG struggles all the non-Skins fans come on this thread and tell us how he is a bust?
RG could have a miserable year, and I still wouldn't consider him a bust. Becoming an NFL QB is a process. I believe RG will eventually become a QB that will help us contend for playoff births year in and year out. As for this year, I'd be more than happy with .500.

Give me a break dude, if you knew anything about the situation you'd know Cousins has gotten many more snaps in preseason, done it against the second and third string defenses and Kyle Shannahan is not using the roll out offense the skins have designed for RGIII other than in practice. They don't want to oposition to be able to prepare for it. Wait until he's played at least an entire game of the regular season before you declare yourself Mel Kiper 2.0.

RE: 2012 Washington Redskins Thread
One of my favorite Skins officially retired today. He was a man of many names... Sheriff Gonna Getcha, Janky Spanky, Southeast Jerome, Bud Foxx, And Coconut Jones, but many of us know him as simply Clinton. He's still one of best blocking RBs I've ever seen. Here is a note he published in the WP today...
I entered this city wide-eyed and excited. I was a 22-year old kid who didn’t know the storied history or the timeless legacy that is The Redskin Nation. What I did know was that I was called upon to deliver more than just touchdowns. I was brought here to work alongside a great group of teammates to uplift the spirits of an organization, a community, and the best fans in the world.
Today, I hang up my jersey and untie my cleats. I reflect on my time here as some of the best times I can remember and hope that it is as memorable for you as it is for me. I want to thank my teammates, my family, and my fans for all the love and support and for allowing me to grow from a boy into a man in a city that I will forever love.
A special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Snyder for everything they have done for me and my family, Coach Shannahan for giving me the chance of a lifetime, and Coach Gibbs for making me a man. LOVE YOU ALL!

RGIII is looking solid against Indy. Two really nice drives against the Colts 1st team defense.

He went from being an elite TE to being given his walking papers in about a year's time.
I hate it for him, he has been a great TE for the Redskins. I hope he can land with someone else asap.

Menefee from Fox just called RGIII a rookie sensation. HITH can you be a rookie sensation after throwing only 31 passes in the entire preseason, with none over 20 yards. LMAO.

So far the Redskins game plan has worked like a charm. They're sustaining time-consuming drives and that keeps Brees on the bench. Props to Shanahan and his boy.
