Growing up in Charlotte in the 70s/80s, I was a diehard Redskins fan.  But after the Panthers, and the long long dive for the Skins, I didn't even follow them anymore in the last 10 years.

But last night, I was all in.  That was fun to see.  My two teenager sons though, huge NFL fans, didn't even realize the Skins' had a band that played Hail to the Redskins.  They thought that was awesome, but had never watched enough of the Skins to even know it (nor had the Skins deserved "new" fans to watch and learn that).

I am with you 100 percent.  I hope the Redskins light Wilson up like a Christmas tree.
I hope Seattle lights up RG3. That blitz that was killing Romo won't work on RW.
Garrett is a moron play caller not helping anyone. Redskins were sending guys 24/7, where's a slip screen or a bubble screen or any kind of whatever screen, dump off to get some pressure of you. Can't run these deeps routes when they are sending that many so much.
Problem is, Cowboys ran screens the whole game, and Romo couldn't make the pass.

Redskins fans deserve absolutely nothing. You are a wart on the football world in search of some Compound W.

Alfred Morris shredded the Cowboys defense last night but the real reason why the 'Skins won was their defense. For all the bonehead things that DeAngelo Hall does, last night was the best game he's played in a longgggg time. He basically shut down Dez Bryant and that took away Romo's top down-field threat. For the last half of the season, Bryant has been practically unstoppable.

This thread proves to me what I have always thought. Redskins fans are like State fans. State fans are preoccupied with UNC. Skins fans are preoccupied with Dallas.

Not a skins fan at all but I HATE THE COWBOYS.

Rumor has it the Redskins are going to send a $1000.00 bill to Demarcus Ware. They want him to pay for his seat since he was just a spectator last night.

Tony Romo has severe dehydration today. He chokes so frequently in big games he was afraid to even drink liquids.

I just saw the Chargers' list of opponents for 2013 and Philip (presuming he's still with the Chargers) and the boys will be making a trip to DC to play the Redskins.  It would be a nice opportunity for those of us on the east coast to see him.

Romo cracked a rib in the 2nd quarter last night. That blind side hit by Wilson where he got planted and got up slowly did it.

Hey Einstein, they did play the Cowboys for the NFC East championship and a playoff birth so I believe mentioning Dallas is not out of line in this thread.

#HTTR! It's been a long damn time. I watched the Redskins' last Super Bowl victory while I was in school at State.

Looking forward to a great game with Russ and the Seahawks next week.

What was wrong with Dez last night and his back?  When I came back in my living room he was on the sideline and they were helping him walk saying his back was hurt. I haven't had time today to look, in fact I hadn't thought of it until just seeing your post. I hope he is ok I hate to see anyone with a bad looking injury.

I just an update on the cowgirlz website. Looks like Romo may have broke a rib or 2. If so I'll have to say he did ok to play with a broke rib. I had a broke rib one time. Man that hurt.

Late to the thread, but HTTR.

Seattle will be tough.  All the RW lovers out there seem to think he is winning alone.  He stepped into a great situation there.

Not even surprised about all the injuries that are being discovered after the game by Dallas.

The Skins have faced a top 10 defense in points allowed only twice this year. They lost both games. The more I more I dig into this game the more and more I believe Seattle wins this game rather handily. If they lose it will be because they didn't score a lot of points, not because Washington scored a bunch on them. This one is in the road team's hands to win or lose. Everything statistically works in their favor. Line opened up at Washington +1 and has already jumped to +3. Seattle gets Browner back at CB too. It was a good run Skins fans but the more complete team advances Sunday.

Hawks 30
Redskins 17

I've see RW addressed as RW3 in an article or two now. I'm hating that the skins aren't playing a team and a qb that I can dislike. Oh well, hope Russell plays well but the rest of the Seahawks don't.

I think ur sample size of 2 is small, specially since we scored 31 against one of the two teams (cincy) and the other was on the road early at Pitt. Our D has been solid over the 2nd half of the year, esp given we lost Orakpo and Carriker (right b4 playing cincy n week 3) and never had 3 guys in our secondary all year.

U also proclaimed RG3 to b overrated b4 season if I recall.

He'll get killed behind that OL and if they try to get him out of the pocket to cover up their weaknesses the kid is going to get lit up a few times.

Other day DeAngelo Hall had him dead to rights on a corner blitz, RGIII ran a keeper and turned right into him. If they were wearing pads he would have been lit up. After the play Hall ran to the sidelines screaming. "The kid had his eyes closed! How's he going to make someone miss a tackle with his eyes closed?"

To be fair, with the offense we run he doesn't have to hold the ball long in the pocket and it's very "progression-friendly."

I wonder if the early reports were accurate RE: Griffin trying to run a pro-style O and the Shanahan's scrapped it and put in the pistol/read option.
