Harrison with the winner in OT. J. Staal with the assist.
At least something positive will come out of tonight....Canes now above .500.....unlike some teams in the area.

Wow! How we come away with points is beyond me...Ward looks really good! 4 points in the first 3 road games, I'll take it!

Great finish last night. It's still frustrating that the Canes looks like complete **** when playing on a fresh sheet of ice. Ottawa dominated us last night and we miracled our way through it. Changes need to happen.

Yep, Jussi still looks horrible. LaRose finally played better, but still is not playing that well overall, and D still leaves Cam out to dry way too often. Corvo did a great job again...being a scratch. partizanpack wrote: Great finish last night. It's still frustrating that the Canes looks like complete **** when playing on a fresh sheet of ice. Hopefully he'll warm up soon, because the top two lines are carrying the club right now.

If the season ended today, the Canes would be in the playoffs.
Right now, they are 2 points behind the lightning with a game in hand.

Good chance the margin between winning the division and not making the playoffs will be razor thin in this shortened-season. The play over the next two weeks will demonstrate a good idea on the contenders and pretenders, IMO. By now everyone should be back to game shape. Injuries are piling up for some teams already.

wilsonbrown wrote: Is it ok to post positive comments here? If yes, Harrison played well. here is a kinda positive IF playoffs started today, and yes, they do not, Hurricanes would be #8 seed winning tiebreaker over Rangers with Hurricanes having played 1 less game. not quite as positive teams seeded #8-#14 in Eastern Conference have either 10 or 9 points. It may be early but 48 games schedule will be interesting. It does not make sense financially, but NHL would almost be better off in future starting around Thanksgiving after college football is almost complete and really pushing outdoor games during week between Christmas and New Year's, one in US and one in Canada.
