Ellis has been playing great so far. i'm also impressed with the D. much better than the first 2 games.

First goal tonight, but you could make the argument that Semin has been the best Cane the first four games. Playing well all around. Hope it continues. Ellis was great.
Skinner 3 games in a row with backhanded top-shelf goals.
Semin has been playing well, but nice to see him get in the goal column.

Great beating the Sabres on back to back nights!
Jordan Staal is a monster out there...Canes haven't had a combo forward in the middle of the ice like him since they've been in Raleigh, have they? Sutter may have been a better defensive forward, but Staal clearly a better offensive player, and is strong defensively.

Wow Ellis played great. Good things usually happen with the Canes have a capable backup. I think we lose that game if Ward were in net. Ellis had great rebound control. I haven't really been sold on the Staal trade as Sutter was my favorite player and giving up two prospects in addition seemed steep but I've been really impressed in his faceoffs and his play-making.

So apparently, Canes fans get free Bo's (Boberry biscuit), Moe's (queso), and Kanki (sushi) tomorrow plus half price Papa John's.

Had a couple of run-ins with Sabres fans sometime back. They are fervent, but also insane(including a good friend of mine. He may shoot himself after this outcome  .)
