Since the season is over and been declared a disappointment, does this go down as the shortest season ever? I haven't looked up all the historical numbers, but when has our season ever ended on or before February 23rd? Unacceptable in my book.

I believe some of the Les Robinson era seasons ended after media day
football record prediction (2010) 3-9, 1-7 (2011) 5-7, 2-6 (2012) 7-5, 4-4 MBB prediction: (2010-11) 21-9, 10-6 (2011-12) 19-12, 7-9 (2012-13) 24-7, 12-6

That gives me some perspective. I see your Campbell and Florida Atlantic and raise you 3 years of Tom Reed football

That gives me some perspective. My favorite part of those years was that the LRI was only on ESPN and the dorms had no cable. So our season typically ended in a game we couldn't even see even though it was the ACC tournament.

RE: Has this season been the shortest one ever?
IT actually seems to be dragging on forever about now. Haven't quite given up yet, but there's been more pain this year than I expected...I was thinking the season would be a little better...of course I was also expecting us to have a better year and still get booted earlier in the tourney...which would have been pretty painful too...especially with increased expectations. Good teams usually hit a hot streak at some point during the season...we had a stretch at the end of non-conference through first few games of conference play. I hope we have another streak in us....if so, it might come at just the right time. Maybe the fact that we have underachieved so far will motivate us to do better at some point.

I think we had to pump our own water out of a well on the Brickyard and lug it back to Bragaw for showers, but I'm not sure.

We should bring back Les as coach emeritus. Les took some of State' s most pathetic teams and beat some of Dean Smiff's best teams.
Back on topic. Some the Herb years were painfully long.
