He shoots 3s and plays questionable defense. Same thing as every year. His game hasn't grown at all. He rarely tries a pump fake, or dribble the ball. LorenzoDos wrote:

We have arguably the best shooter in the country, one of the 10 best point guards in the country, the preseason ACC player of the year, and arguably the best rebounder in the country. Of which, each are upper classment. Mix in 3 McD All-Americans and I think it is fair to have pretty lofty expectations. Scott Wood hasn't improved since he got here? I have a tough time seeing where you're coming from with that one...

Wood has the quickest shot coming off the screen in the history of college basketball. He only needs a squinta and BANG 3-WWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!! His release on his 3 has gotten better, his movement without the ball is incredible compared to where to it was, his defense isn't great, but it's also gotten much better.

I will agree with one of his points. Officiating hasn't caused 6 conference and 2 non-conference losses this year. We've clearly under performed against expectations.
At a certain point, you're nothing more than a product of your record. We're starting to look more like an 8 loss team than we are a top 15 team. I'd put us in the category of one of the more disappointing teams against preseason rankings this season.
It's "Uncle Remus." Jeebus, people. Result = UNC fan.

I have a tough time seeing where you're coming from with that one... All of his stats have improved each year he has been here. He has drastically improved this year in moving without the basketball. He will leave this university with the most starts in school history, the most made threes in school history, and the top 15 in blocked shots. He has used the pump fake more this year if thats what you are in to. If you want to see him dribble maybe you can spend some time at practice and watch him go thru some drills.

Randle would have had 25 in that game You're contradicting yourself. You say he made the right call putting a junior that was more of a liability than an asset into the game instead of a freshman, but then you say a high school senior would have scored 25 in the game. I don't think so. first, Randle ia a post player and Warren isn't. second, Randle isn't here now, (hopefully on both counts) Leslie won't be here when and if we get Randle and the choice would be among three FR. it's a on-starter. the point was that Gott's offense puts guys ion position to score, and Leslie can't convert while a Randle is cut out to succeed because he can score the opposition has figured out that all you need to do to stop Leslie is keep your feet on the floor and stay in front of him. he'll walk, charge, dribble out of bounds or at worst shoot and miss. hell it's even a good bet to hammer him because he can't shoot freethrows either macadoo is out there drilling 12 foot turnarounds and leslie can't make a damn layup

Re: Scott Wood's post-game comment.....
After reading all the comments on here, I have it. There is only one answer. Wood was referring to the black helicopters. He must have heard them. That's at least as sane an answer as all the conspiracy theories about refs, etc.

Or maybe Scott knows a whole lot more than MOST posters on this board, if not all. Just a thought. I believe Scott. I don't believe a bunch of whining, crying, 2nd guessing wannabe geeks.

RE: Scott Wood's post-game comment.....
Scott Wood is a fantastic player and should have gotten more shots during our run. I still honestly think State is the best team when all of your players has their head in the game. I am not sure why, so unlike some opposing fans, I will not speculate but your players seem a bit out of it. I do think you guys will make a run. It's like you lost a few you shouldn't have and now your guys are sulking......once they come out and punch someone in the mouth again I expect a decent run.
