I was talking to someone about this and they said they used Turbotax free addition. They further stated that their federal was free and that if their return for state was less than what Turbotax changed to file state, they didn't file it to avoid the site fee.

Chris Kelly and 'good point' don't belong in the same sentence. I know he has to be playing a character on 2GNC, but some of the stuff he says is too far out there. Since the news broke here though, someone else dropping the ball was one of the first possibilities that was mentioned.

Mrs. Folwer said poolboy would take care of business.  But apparently Jed misunderstood what business poolboy would take care of.  Apparently not tax business  cool

It's not cheating if you're trying to avoid something that's illegal in the first place.

Taxes on income are immoral and illegal.  FYI, the alleged 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was never properly ratified, and even if it was it does not authorize a tax upon "income" as it is applied today.

And I know Lowe is charged with avoiding state taxes, but I'm just making a point about federal income taxation.

The truth shall set you free

I think Sid holds the moral high ground in this debate.  But since his opponents have bigger guns, he should pay the protection money.

Am I the only one over this whole charade who laughs his *** off every time I hear Turbotax brought up in the Lowe situation?  Guy isn't using it, and anyone else who does can pay precisely 46 cents to file with the state by printing it off and mailing it in.  E-Filing for $20 is for people who don't have 2 minutes to print it off and put it in an envelope.

Mr. NorthWolf, what you've just written is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on these boards is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

What I stated is shocking, yes, and may seem incredible...to some people.  But that is only because it is so diametrically opposed to the "kosher" worldview espoused by the "establishment" media, academia, and government (whom many people unfortunately are deluded into thinking are the bastion of all truth and benevolence).

The sober and painful reality is that the "establishment" media, academia, and government are proven liars with absolutely zero credibility, as they are the staunch enemies of "we the people".  Our society has devolved into a despotic plutocracy (rule of the rich or elite).  This (tyrannical government) has been the norm of history, that governments are used by greedy and malevolent elites, who seek to enslave and oppress the masses.  The founders of the U.S.A. tried to protect us from this potential of tyranny by government.

The fact that we now live under tyranny is becomming painfully obvious.  The latest abuse is that they are now trying to say they can assassinate American citizens (on U.S. soil) with drone strikes, not having to disclose any reason or evidence to anyone, or even inform anyone it took place.  Think about that.  Murder U.S. citizens in secret, with no evidence, no trial, nothing.  Just the whim of some government official.  Then look at the "Patriot Act", the "NDAA", etc which have attacked our Constitutional rights.  The NDAA says that they can detain American citizens indefinitely without charge, trial, or access to a lawyer, merely if the government accuses someone of being a "terrorist" (the definition and implementation of which is certainly not confined to "muslims", but actually targets American Constitutionalists and Patriots).

The Founders of the U.S. revolted against much lighter forms of tyranny than we now live under.  For instance, the taxation (federal, state, gasoline, sales, property, vehicle, etc) is MUCH more oppressive.  It is, in fact, explicitly following the plan laid down by the communists for a "progressive tax on income", and the elimination of real private property rights.

What I stated regarding the illegality of the 16th Amendment and the federal income tax is not "idiotic" because it is absolutely true, and founded on reality and real history, not the lies espoused by the criminal government and media.  Research it for yourself.

The truth shall set you free

Agreed.  All that along with the fact that as a resident of a state you have a responsibility to contribute the same as everyone else.  All those public schools that can't afford books deserve an apology along with the rest of the population that pull their own weight.

Yes, it covers it.   This truth is now breaking into the "mainstream".  Hal Lindsey even had a program not long ago dedicated to the Federal Reserve, laying out how it is a criminal operation (a private banking cartel) that took over control of the U.S. Government.  Lindsey calls the Federal Reserve "the most massive fraud in the history of the world."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_0R4yH6v8E

It was a truly monumental event...one that every American should research, in order to understand who really controls the U.S. Government, and the "who, what, and why" behind world events.

The truth shall set you free

How about that H&R Block commercial where the CPA is talking about a woman who hadn't filed her taxes for 8 years and brings him 10 boxes of receits to figure out.  How the hell did she get away with that?  You would think after the first two, the IRS would have come knocking.
