I'm sick and tired of ACC refs.
Can we trade them for some Pac-10 and Sec refs? Can we trade Ron Cherry too?

The funniest thing to me is that Engineer65 considers the counterargument "there ARE no ACC refs" to be the mother of all argumentative strategy, and he's simply shocked some would dare challenge his assertion. LOL

Re: Question about ACC Refs
On a related subject, can somebody get me a list of all the unicorns in this country?
I'd also like a listing for the Easter Bunny and Sasquatch(is there only one, or would it be Sasqui?)
Also, can somebody get me some information on the female g-spot?

Re: Question about ACC Refs
Maybe we will get Dorsey, Luckie and Hess this weekend...foul a game to crawl, much? Two teams that want to get up and down, out and run or break hard OFF MADE BASKETS and these clowns would love more than nothing to have one of them stand all game on a block watching the other one take free throws...ACC refs suck.

I tell you one thing, you do NOT want Jerry Heater calling a game. Apparently he calls fouls on everything.

Re: Question about ACC Refs
On the subject, did anyone see that ATROCIOUS "refereeing" in the Dook-VT game last night? One time a Dook player came running full-speed towards a VT offensive player that was driving to the basket, and the Duke player crashed into the VT player (without even coming close to coming to a stop and "establishing position"). The Dook player was literally like a fullback throwing a block for a running back, and Swoff's pro-blew refs called a "charge"!
The truth shall set you free

Well, the ACC (nonACC) refs studied Duke's tendencies to get charging calls on opponents by flopping. Wait for the Tarhole game for E65 to show up with his schtick.

Re: Question about ACC Refs
There are no ACC refs. There is a small group of refs that happen to call ACC games. But remember, there are no ACC refs. Just a few men that ref ACC games.
Glad we got that straight. LOL

UNC-CHeat historically does not foul according to the Supervisor of ACC officials.

Particularly in football. Some years ago now, the Sendek lead Pack played against presumeably a Gott coached Alabama squad at their place. The refs went beyond bias in that game; certainly looked to me they were trying to fix the game. As I recall, no fouls (maybe one or two) called on Bama until they needed to put the Pack on the foul line. Then Bama got 6 fouls in 6 seconds or so. Never seen anything like it; the radio guys were stunned as well. Pack still won despite the refs best effort.

Re: Question about ACC Refs
If I were a big booster who hated State and who had a mischievous bent and time on my hands, I would get involved in the personal lives of refs all around the region: get to know their families, send them anonymous gifts after a job-well-done, subtly let them know powerful people care how they call games, generally let them know their kids and relatives should apply to all the best schools and not to worry too much about money--there are lots of scholarship and funding options, and other assorted dirtiness endemic to rich, immoral fanboys.

Alabama had over 40 FTs and we had less than 10 IIRC Gott was the coach, it was a home and home, Herb/State went to Bama and won, then Gott/Bama came to Raleigh and played Sid/Pack and they won.

Re: Question about ACC Refs
I know this started as a fishing expedition. But I noticed that the ACC games refs that officiated ACC contests only made up about 1/4 of the games they called. They are ACC refs by virtue of the fact that they call any of our games? Any ref that works ACC games are supervised by the ACC? They are also supervised by the Big10, the SEC, the Big East too?
