2/21 games
Not too much on tonight, waiting for Duke/VT @9. Trying to watch Georgia @ Arkansas. Just about want to gouge my eyes out. Two not-great teams playing really bad basketball. 28-18 at the half. Ow, my eyes.....

It's amazing what a train wreck UGA hoops have been with Fox at the helm. When our job was open his name was rumored and Jeff Schultz (whose articles I generally enjoy)of the Atlanta Journal wrote a blog entry wondering why he would even consider going to a program with not much chance to be good again. It claimed UGA had just as much upside as NC State in hoops. Seeing how Georgia has fallen and NCSU has risen, I wonder how Mr. Schultz enjoys his current plate of crow?
An excerpt:
Fox, who in only his second year has coached the Bulldogs into the NCAA tournament, may not necessarily be a lifer at Georgia. But if he leaves, it would take a better job than North Carolina State. While the Wolfpack reportedly are willing to pay up to $3 million annually — far exceeding Fox’s current $1.3 million salary at Georgia — it’s not a program with any more potential than the one in Athens. The facilities enhancements at Georgia has elevated the stature of the basketball program, as has the SEC’s overall improved strength.

LOL @ ESPN talking about the halftime show coming up and mentioning NC State is a bubble team. What?!?!?! You mean UNC?!?!?

We are a projected 5 seed on ESPN's BPI Projections......that little turd obviously has no clue what he is talking about. ONly way we get on the bubble is if we lose to BC, Wake or GT PLUS UNC and FSU. BTW, our BPI is #19 in the nation right now. Last season, it was #40. No way in hell we are a bubble team.

So duke is handling VaTech at VaTech and State had a hard time against vaTech at home. Yeah , State not ready for prime time yet ... You got yo focus for the entire game.

Watching Duke just dismantle VT at VT just reminds me how far behind we are still from the front runners in the ACC and nationally. VT, the same team we barely beat at home last week in OT. So sad, it would drive me to drink if I did.

We beat FSU pretty good. They went the distance with Miami. Miami beat the **** out of Duke.
This Duke team lost in Maryland and should have lost in BC. Whenj they are shooting well (see the first half against us in Cameron) they are one of the top teams in the country. When they are having an off night, they aren't great.

Why does Curry's mom go to all the games if she closes her eyes on every one of his shots? She could stay at home and sleep on the couch and accomplish the same thing.

Couple weeks ago I'd agree we were working our way to the bubble, but as of late, I think we've all but punched our ticket. Still some work to do, but if we take care of business, we're in, easily. We simply have too many quality wins to ignore. |

So Duke is beating VT pretty soundly at their place and we barely beat them at ours...?
Hopefully that team from Saturday doesn't show up again for the rest of the year. Our guys should use this as some sort of motivation.

How did that Wood character and Jarell Eddie do tonight? I saw Wood take a wide open 3 that barely hit rim. Obviously didn't have the same stroke as he had against us.(including the one he wedged in). Wood and Eddie were a combined 7-15 from 3 against us...0-9 against Duke. And yes, they had some wide open shots against Duke as well. Duke going 12-17 from 3 pt line and VTech going 1-16.....blowout engaged. VT's role players hit their open shots against us, didn't against Duke. It happens.
