Carolina has a little momentum going compared to the first time we met. A lot of my buddies didn't say much leading up to the first game because it was obvious that they were not going to win at PNC.
For me its all about beating them in the Smith Center and we haven't done that in forever...we just need to roll in there and take care of business. Do that and then maybe in the heel's eyes the rivalry is back on.

UNC has a weird resume. They've crept into the top 25 in RPI, but they're 1-6 against the top 50 and only 4-7 against the top 100. Are they a good team or not?
Still, this is a big game just for the fact that we're tied with them and UVA for 3rd in the league. The winner has a leg up on that bye in the ACCT.

Just figured out I had a couples shower/pig pickin (one I couldn't miss) at 4 on Saturday, and my stomach dropped. Texted the bride to be to "complain" about the timing of the party (obviously in a humorous way). She said they didn't realize the conflict earlier, but not to worry the game would be on full blast and beer would be provided. All I needed to hear to put me at ease

Gonna come down to fouls in my opinion. If McAdoo gets in foul trouble, we have a good chance. But I have a sinking feeling the refs are going to be quick to blow whistles on Howell and Leslie.

Refs won't be a factor. Call me crazy, but I think the refs are going to be even. Swofford wants a good game between two rivals.

We're the better team this year. Bring the D like last night and make them earn every point.
We have a tremendous advantage inside as they did last year.
Unc will have hard time guarding Zo, TJ, Howell, or Leslie.
Let's help them along to their NIT bid.

This game is HUGE!!! When was the last time we swept UNC? What a statement it would be to win this game and scream to UNC / Duke that it's not a 2 team state anymore!
In terms of the actual game, I think it comes down to our perimeter defense. If we let Bullock and Hairston go off from 3 it will be very tough for us to win. If we can shut them down I don't see us losing.

If the Holes play the kind of defense they did in the first half against Duke, we are going to have tough go of it. If we can weather the storm on the road, I will feel pretty good about the team heading into tourny time.

idk. got a feeeling this figures to be cameron/duke 2.0. curb stomped first 30 minutes or so and rally late to be somewhat respectable. hope i'm wrong.

Sadly, the cheaters are by far the most improved team in the ACC. That being said, I think it will be a good game. Our guys get up for tourney games and rivalry games.
The zebras might determine the outcome of this one... not good for us.

Carolina's new lineup could cause some problems for us. With four guards in their starting five we have the obvious advantage inside. However three points counts more than two and with Calvin's defensive lapses that could cause a problem.
With that I would match up like this.
Page-Zo
Strickland-Leslie
Bullock-Wood
Hariston-Warren
Mcadooo-Howell
Strickland is not a very good shooter allowing Calvin to play off a little and help on dribble penetration. If Wood starts getting beat of the bounce switch with Zo.
Contain Bullock and Hariston I have a hard time seeing UNCheat winning.

I'd be surprised if they were able to jump on the Pack like Duke did - Duke's a tougher place to play in than Dean Dome for one. Another is now Zo's playing for the Pack - unlike the game in Durham. I see this as a tight game either team could win on a last shot.

We were down 22-6 after the first 4-5 minutes of that one. They extended it to 20 once. We were curb stomped for roughly 5 minutes of that game and played them evenly the rest of the way. As for UNC - Stay out of foul trouble, run our offense, don't let them get hot from deep, we win going away.

I'm actually a little glad that we'll be playing a team on the rise instead of some sorry ole down team. There will be no excuses for them if they lose. They can't just blame it on a rebuilding year. They are loaded with All-Hamburger players and they're playing well and beating most of their opponents here lately.
I think we're playing well now (at least against FSU, and I still think VT was a good win for us even if no one will admit it -- they were playing well that night...) This could be a great game between two very good teams. Win or lose, as long as we come in and play our best game, we can't hang our heads if we come up short (and I'm not saying we will -- I have no idea what will expect...)
Basically, I'd like to see a great game between two talented teams playing their best ball. Not sure my heart can take it, though!

I used to be able to watch espn3 games at work but we got a new computer and it doesn't seem to work now. We have Century Link DSL and have had it ever since we got DSL. It was Embarq before. I don't see Century Link (or Century Tel) or Embarq listed. So I'm wondering how I got access before but now I can't. I have Suddenlink for my cable provider and thought I could use that account but it still doesn't work. Does anybody have a clue? I wanted to watch the replay of last night's FSU game but not having any luck.
