Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
that whole scenario was weird,. I didn't expect him to come back in once he called to come out. then he ended up coming back in and playing down to the last minute. makes me wonder if Lorenzo felt sorry for Purvis riding the pine and asked to come out in hopes of getting Rodney a few minutes. we had a nice cushion at the time. and looking at the replay Lorenzo didn't look to do anything to hurt his ankle right before he came out. just a thought.

RE: Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
I'd guess cramps, hence why he was eating on the bench, not a wild theory about purvis PT

Re: Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
I thought he looked fine, 90% or whatever. You could tell Purvis wasn't happy coming off the bench though.

RE: Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
He was cramping.
Hence the reason he was eating the fruit (I mean popcorn) right after that.

RE: Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
Looked to me like he tweaked his ankle a little bit. They showed a replay where it looked like he started to roll it. He was describing that to the trainers.
@preacher, I was thinking the same thing.
31 -27 was fun, Everyone understands 41-10, 28-27 almost heaven, 29 to 25 was fine and 13-0 without our hero. 5 in a row!

My seats have a great view of the end if the bench. Never saw the trainers doing anything other than stretching his foot back like you do if your calf muscle is cramping.

He did step on the defender when he made the nice pass to TJ at the 14:27 mark. He immediately let the staff know.

Re: Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
if you were paying attention he was cramping and eating popcorn. Tyler came in for him...and to the others who were baited by this troll...Rodney did play more after this as well. RE: Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
Warren’s minutes were cut off and he has seemed to take a step in the right direction with defensive effort. These last two games for Warren I have seen massive improvements on the defensive end. His minutes will stay up as long as his defensive effort stays up. Hopefully Purvis can do the same. Purvis is the speed on our fast break and really forces the other team’s defense to get back.

--------------------------------------------- Amen to the mustard. Maybe for menstrual cramps. Eat popcorn when you are faking cramps to get a team-mate into the game....love the in-depth analysis that we do.

RE: Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
why would anyone feel sorry for another player and want him to take his minutes? That makes no sense. There was a reason Zo played and Purvis didn't. Im sure Purvis doesnt want any sympathy from the other players, he just wants to let his game come back to him with time

Re: Was Lorenzo's ankle really hurting him?
So you really think a player would ask to come out because they felt sorry for another players minutes??? And on top of that fake an injury to do it? Dude, put the pipe down.

Hence the reason he was eating the fruit (I mean popcorn) right after that. Yeah, I was sure it was cramps too after seeing him eating. They just need to keep a color with fruit cups over there. Maybe the university can make some money off the free advertising. The guy working with Whitt seemed to be getting a lot of things wrong last night. He stated something about leaving CJ in with two fouls early in the first half when it was the Miami player that had two. He called Tyler Lewis Terry and I believe there were a few other things he missed. I know those guys work a lot of games and it's tough to keep up with all the players on all the teams, but dang dude, it's your job. Get the names and teams right. OK, I really high-jacked the thread there for a second with my rant. Sorry... as you were.
