Yep, this is TJ's night.  Congratulations for a great game tonight!!!!  Loved the rebounding though, probably more than the points.

If anyone wants to put TJ, on the same plateau, as Lebron or David?  HMMM in a big way! C'mon man.  Please!!!!!!!!!!  but TJ payed one hell of a game tonight, no doubt.

Hope he comes back next year. Anyone know where he stacks up against all time freshman scoring at NC State?

He's been the missing link. If he returns to his 15-20 pts a game ways, we will be really hard to beat.

TJ has been shooting free throws much better the last couple games. He looks comfortable now.

Not sure, but I'm betting it's not all that high, without doing homework. we also have to remember that freshmen were not eligible for many years. I'm guessing he may be in the top 15 in all time freshman scoring.  Of course if he scores 31 a game he could move up quickly. LOL. Scoring doesnt really always measure a players effectiveness.

postgamw radio he said hed been working hard on it

coaches told him whenever hed miss, he almost always was leaning back as he shot. Been practicing keeping his back straight in practice FWIW

Your not allowed to talk about TJ Warren scoring 31. Local media and radio would much rather talk about NC State having a "close" victory against FSU while UNC blows out Georgia Tech. Please stay on message. The talking points will be printed in your email tomorrow.

TJ is so smooth it almost seems like he scores without much effort, "ala" Paul Pierce.  He drove to the bucket and rebounded well to get some nice 3 pt. plays.  He is our best pure scorer.  We shot 26-31 from the free throw line, which is our best effort so far.  If we make our FT's, we win every game going forward.  We ended up with more offensive rebounds than FSU had total, and scored 29 points off of those rebounds.  TJ needs to start.

I saw Ernie Myers score 35 against Duke (I think) his freshman year. I don't know if that was or is still a freshman record, but I think it's still more than 31. :)

I'll take your word for it. All I know is it was downhill the rest of the way for him....

TJW’s scoring was incredible, but I was just as impressed with his hustle, defense, and rebounding effort last night. With his hustle and rebounding on the inside, it is like we added a new big man to complement CJ and Howell. Hopefully it continues, because it will be huge down the stretch.

I didn't see the game. What was the difference, more hustle or were his shots falling?

They said in the paper today it was tied for the 3rd most ever scored by a freshman here.

Hickson had 33 vs. WCU (in addition to his 31 point first game).

If Myers had 35, that would be the other performance that was better.

First, he started.  So more minutes.

Second, a lot of right place, right time offensive put-backs.

Third, he was hitting his FT's (5 for 5).

Fourth, he was hitting his jumpers (2 for 2 on 3 pointers).

yeah, it's sort of a weird shot but it sure goes in a lot!

He was in the right place @ the right time so many times last night - appears to have a very high BB IQ!

A few more performances like last night and Warren will creep up the draft boards and we'll probably lose him next year. That would suck.
