It seems like a simple thing, but TJW's ability to make acrobatic put back shots is about as good as I have seen.  The last one he made was incredible... Most players catch and go back up a lot of the time, but he prefers to put it back up without coming down.  It is very effective.

despite their size, FSU is a horrible rebounding team. They are last in rebounding margin in the ACC.  I won't take away from what the guys did last night though.  Outrebounding ANYONE 45-21 is a hell of an effort.

Not once have I ever said Purvis sucks and admitted I've been a bit harder on Purvis than most players.  The kid has talent but he also has obvious flaws in his game.  You and others openly made this kid out to be the second coming of DT and Dwyane Wade and when I totally disagreed at those comparisons you and other gave me a lot of flack. 

Now, since he's not performing that way, you and others want to say he's in a slump.  Being in a slump is what TJ Warren was in. TJ was missing shots he normally would make.  In Rodney's case, he's been having problems finishing all season long so how is that a slump.   It only appears he's in a slump because the tempo has slowed down, the competition and stakes are higher, his confidence has waned, and he hasn't played with as much passion as before. 

As far as last night's game, he still missed a lot of layups, but I thought he played a decent game.  He made some nice hustle plays and those are just as important as scoring on this Pack team.

Now run along and continue your job of evaluating everyone's post-game comments and challenging their fanhood.

Over the first 19 games he averaged 9.95 ppg.
Over the past 7 he has averaged 5.2
HMM so while he was not a world beater he was certainly playing good ball. Now he is not playing so well. I would say scoring 50% of what you were scoring is a slump. So please go ahead and run the kid into the ground some more. It apparently makes you feel like a big man.

Yes, this is true but last night, I thought Purvis made some nice hustle plays last night.  In the previous games, he just didn't seem as engaged.

the 31 points was good ..but the best thing is that you can tell he has been working on his FT shooting! That is huge! I mean if you are gonna play down the stretch and especially around the basket, you have got to make your FTs because you are gonna get sent to the line. Way to go TJ!!!

I thought his rebounding was the most impressive part of his game last night.  We've seen him have great shooting nights before, but never a rebounding night like that.  13% of his rebounds for the entire season came last night.
