Take out the 6 minutes with Vandy on the floor and its one of the best games we've played all year. Defense was awesome at times.

BTW if anyone wonders why Vandy does not play, this game should answer that question I feel so bad for the big guy. Me too He has been here for 4 years and it has not clicked I give him all the credit for trying hard and not complaining

I would trade Vandy for Luke Buffum....even though Buffum is probably near 40 and probably weighs 275 now.
That says it all.

Solid win. I think the biggest positive from tonight other than Warren's unbelievable play is that we finally closed a team out. Warren's three when the Noles had cut it to 10 was the nail in the coffin. Hopefully the team turned a corner tonight and will stop letting teams back in the game. Great game tonight. Best I've felt since the Duke game certainly.

No doubt TJ will stay firmly in the starting lineup and lose a few pounds with all the prime-time play he's gonna get from here on out. It's not just his scoring either--having another rebounder and defensive player in the paint is huge for us. Speaking of huge, VandyB has got the size, but it just ain't gonna work---my 75 year old dad is faster--maybe we can tape a Cheetah to his back

CJL could be on SC top 10 twice with the huge putback off the Howell miss and that inbounds play toward the end.

Great game from everyone. Purvis' shot wasn't falling but damn he was hustling. TJ "Buckets" Warren was doing everything. Leslie kept the crowd in the game with some HUGE dunks. Howell didn't shoot from the floor well, but made some big free throws and really held his own down low (just another consistent night) Wood made some important 3's and played some good D Zo was Zo. So damn smooth. Knows when to slow it down. Knows when to go full steam. Heart sank and nearly stopped when he went out for a few minutes. Lewis provided some good minutes of the bench, but struggled some on D. Vandy...tried hard and I appreciate that.

RE: Short Post-Game Thread: NC State beats FSU
I was wrong when I predicted the Pack wouldn't blow out the Noles. The Pack played as complete a game as they've played all season. This was a very impressive win and glad to see the Pack play with some passion on the defensive end.
Lastly, I'll admit I've been hard on Purvis. When Gott was recruiting Rodney, you guys know I took a lot of flack from posters when I said I like Terry Henderson's game better. I pointed out obvious flaws in Purvis' game and we've been seeing those same flaws all season and that's why I say he's not in a slump. He just has to improve his touch around the basket and that probably will not happen until next season.

Re: Short Post-Game Thread: NC State beats FSU
I loved how this State team opened tonight with good solid, active defense. State forced a lot of TOs. 84-66 State. Great chemistry tonight! Everyone on the team played their role very well tonight. Best offensive rebounding I have seen from a State team in a long, long time. 21 Offensive boards, 45 total boards by State and 23 second chance points! State's record improves Overall 19-7, ACC 8-5, 14-1 at home, 3 wins in a row. State goes to free throw line and hits most of their shots, 25/31. TJ was the groove. Excellent! Great scoring, terrific rebounding. 31 points, 12/15 FG, & (2 for 2 on the 3 pointers), 13 Rebounds, both scoring and rebounding are career highs! Calvin with another double double. Five dds in last 7 games! Superb! Zo with 9 assists and court leader of this team. Rich played solid and was a quiet leader. Lewis got more minutes, played very well, no turnovers. Wood made 3 more 3 point buckets, only needs 21 more to surpass R. Monroe's record. 13 pts. Best overall game from State in good while, what most of us expected to see from this team this year. Good job Coach MG and his staff!

That was a Butt Whuppin and hopefully a Karma Wash, I like a HC who can put player feelings aside and put the best 5 on the floor, may have had something to do with FSU's length, but I hope we ride this line-up from here on out.
