Ex-Duke Guard Phil Henderson Dies
According to reports on twitter... Sad news from Duke basketball family. Former Blue Devils G Phil Henderson has died. Apparently he was in Phillipines but no other details. |

In the 1989 regional final against Georgetown(should have been us but Rick Hartzell made the worst call in the history of basketball) Henderson had a monster dunk over Alonzo Mourning late in the game. Thoughts go out to Duke and his family. I remember growing up in the late '80s and early '90s. Remember names like his, Alaa Abdelnaby, and moving into the National Championship years very well.
