With that being said, ACC refs suck again. I can't believe these idiots are allowed to ref.
When I go to the ACC Tourny, I am going to bring a sign that says:
"ACC fans hate ACC refs and Swofford" If I was the owner of the foam brick I would chuck it at the ref, whats the worst that could happen? Considering what happened to Corch and Googs, you'd probably be arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. It would look really bad for NC State for one of its fans to do that. Not trying to sound like a wet blanket, but that's how it would play in the media...which is populated by Duke and UNC jocksniffers. Really? Assualt with a foam brick? As for the media, f em, it will always be us against the world.

Just wait until we play at the Nose Dome, I just feel the Swoff will have the Hessian ready, willing and waiting for us, as his clause was just none of our home games....methinks.

One of my neighbors, a Twerp fan, pointed out how old the Miami team is.
Gamble and Johnson are both 23, and Kadji is almost 25. They have 3 of their top 6 born before 1990. Best I can tell, our oldest 2 players were born in 1990.

So you're saying they're on the Hansbrough plan...

Miami has six seniors, five of which play major minutes.

I never have bought into the Miami bandwagon. They're good, but they're not a top-3 team. We've lost several games on last second shots. They've won at least two like that.
I hope we get another shot at them in the ACCT.

You got that right. We had Miami on the ropes without our most important player. We definitely should have beaten them and can beat them. hunwolf wrote: We have some serious self-loathing fans.

I just don't get our fans sometimes. I understand the frustration with the team struggling...I really do. But we are a sight better than we were 2 years ago and even last year this time we looked dead in the water.
But these same fans expect the team to do a sudden 180 or find lightning in a bottle when they are constantly dumping on them and ******** on them. Maybe it's a weird defense mechanism or defeatist attitude. I just don't know.
They expect ****** performances and losses, and then throw epic hissy fits when the team wins.

Not sure how you can think Miami is not that good. They are 12-0 in the ACC with the highest average margin of victory of any team in the league.

Re: Clemson Miami
It drive me crazy to watch Larkin...because he palms the ball the whole time when he dribbles. The other guard (#1) throws his arm out when he has anyone near him. Of course it's never called. Near the end of the game he got a 3 pt play after he pushed off on a lay up.
If life gives you melons...you might be dyslexic!

RE: Clemson Miami
Miami does not scare me. I actually want another shot at them pretty bad. I do not think they will win out, I dont think they win the ACCT and I think they go home early from the dance. Just my opinion. Also one last thing, GO STATE!

RE: Clemson Miami
I think our players know that they can (and should have) beat Miami and if there's a rematch, then they'll be pretty hungry to do just that.
You can quote all the Miami stats you want, but I know what I saw in the PNC, and that's a team NC State matches up well with and definitely CAN beat.
Edit to add: and if they meet in Greensboro, it will be the equivalent of a road game for Miami because it isn't like they're going to fill the Coliseum with their fans.

I hope we get another shot at them in the ACCT. We have won several games as well the same way. I figure when we routinely play to the level of our competition with games being very "tight" things tend to even out over time...you win a few games/lose a few games in the last seconds of the game(s). With that said, if we play to our ability we probably would only have 1 or 2 conference losses at this point.
The hippest trip in America.

Re: Clemson Miami
They are good and have lots of experience, but they are not unbeatable. They should have lost last night, should have lost to the Pack, and possibly should have lost to VT and BC. Kudos to them for making some plays to keep them undefeated in the conference, but again they are not unbeatable. 48wolfpacker wrote: Not sure how you can think Miami is not that good. Hopefully someone will get it this offseason and begin to enforce the rules in place and allow the athletes to take over the game. Yes, i want to see tough defense, but do it by moving your feet, not by putting your hands on the other guy to move him around.

#2 RPI and #3 SOS. Miami has the best mix of inside / outside in the league, if not the country with the way Larkin has played. Many have forgotten that their first several conference wins, on the road, were without Johnson, so these guys are mentally tough too. What they have done, which is actually what I thought we would do given our experience, is to consistently make the key plays down the stretch to win the close games. We've failed to make the plays in most cases, though perhaps thats beginning to turn.

They are just miserable people. It probably reflects in their careers and personal lives as well. Every fan has them, but ours are a little more deranged. --------------------------------------------- --- EastChapelHill04Class wrote: hunwolf wrote: I just don't get our fans sometimes. Took the words right out of my mouth. As soon as the call was made I knew Hess would go the opposite of what it actually should have been. He needs to be taken off the schedule of doing ACC games.
