It's difficult to accept, but we really need UNC-CH to beat Virginia if we want to have a chance at finishing in 3rd place for the season. UVa is 2 games ahead of us and they own the tiebreaker against us, so we need them to lose at least 3 more games. We'll have our chance to sweep the Heels coming up.

I don't care if we finish 3rd or 4th. Chances are your going to have to beat Miami and Duke either way.

It's just critical that we finish 4th or better.

I'd rather the cheats take a loss. I worry we somehow get screwed at the Nose Dome and then the cheats get 4th on some BS tiebreaker rule.

The # 3 seed if they advance, would play the last game on Friday night, the #4 seed would play the 2 pm game on Friday if they advance.

I believe we would win a tie-breaker with UNC-CH even if we lose to them in the Nose Dome, thanks to our win vs. Duke (provided they lose to Duke in the last game).

UNC is a jump shooting team. They have absolutely nothing inside, good heavens. Bullock and Hairston are pretty good options from deep though.

Does it matter whether we finish 3rd or 4th? Finishing 1st (which we won't) means we let Duke or Miami cancel the other out and only have to beat one to win the ACC. Finishing 2nd-4th means we still have to beat both Duke and Miami to win the tourney.

I just want to guarantee a 1st round bye so I want the holes and FSU to lose to give us some breathing room for the 4th spot. Virginia has a 2 game lead in the loss column and has the win against us. We need a lot to happen to pass them.

haha...Mark Davis was actually a pretty good player that unfortunately had a significant wrist injury IIRC. 

He was a really good guy and very smart too. But I was in school for the whole drama during that time. Hard to forget...LOL.

UVA has a much more tough schedule that we do.  @ Duke and FSU; vs. Miami and Maryland.

BTW, overall UVA has a cake schedule.  Only one game against us, Duke and Miami.  Throw in the fact that they played us without Zo.

Me too. '93-97 aka "The Dark Times." We did have some good wins over the Holes then, though.

Davis was a Civil Engineering major, I believe. Definitely a smart guy.

Watching the Holes turn into dook is great, chukk those 3s tools.

uva loses this one they are going to drop 2 straight...they are at Miami next....our game vs UNC will end up being huge...the officials will have their game faces on for that one.

Both UVA and the CHeats are perimeter oriented teams on offense.  UVA was hitting everything they threw up in the first half and are laying bricks in the second half. Neither has an inside game.

Be interesting to see if UVA can get back even or a lead. This game just has one of those make you wanna vomit *unc keeps the lead type gaems...

PJ Hairston is really good and unfortunately Roy has finally figured that out.
