ACCT Ticketsmailed? (3/5 arriving) /Seating Chart/prices by rd

PDF here.

Notable that a) NC State appears to have the most seats, and b) Miami has the least.

That gets me pumped! Now, It's up to our boys to start playing with a purpose and make the most out of our most talented team in ages. Go win the ACC tourney and the season is a great one.

Especially considering how bad the Duke seats are.  Plenty of Duke fans could be looking for an upgrade for the weekend.

I expect that the WOLFPACK will the most fans there. By the time Sunday comes around, we will have 75% of the arena.

I was just thinking that. You would think it would be an easy flight from Miami or BC to Greensboro and a cheap hotel stay for them... but I guess it's a reflection on the number of fans they have.
Too bad since Miami might win the thing.

Yep...they changed the ticketing system a few years ago. The tickets are distributed to member schools based on demand they usually have. I think there is also a plan to shift tickets from school to school based on demand in a certain year. For example, Clemson may not want as many this year so they give a certain amount back to the ACC who would then distribute them to Miami.

It's a new rule.  They used to be split evenly but it was obviously stupid when some of the schools didn't sell their allotment and the ACC had to sell them on their own.  Now it is scaled based on demand.

Put it this way - I was near the top in the endzone and was more than able to see that ******* Larry Rose give us a T for drying up a wet spot on the court.

I mean, Miami and BC have the worst fan bases in the ACC. What do they expect? Do you really think they are going to fly up to GBoro for a weekend to watch bball? NOPE!

I wonder if they purposefully didn't place any of the tobacco road team seating areas next to each other

Correct, they used to give player families full books, but there was no need to do that when they are only going to use them 1-3 (now 4) games at most

The first few rows in the upper are great. The upper level overhangs the lower a bit in GSO.

However, when they expanded the Coliseum several years back....they took the roof off & added 7 rows of seating & built a new roof.....so there are some really high seats there.

Number of seats, as has been mentioned, is based on traditional demand by each school. Placement of each schools allotment is based on rotation around each arena annually that has been the same for twenty years or so and has been expanded with the addition of more teams. For instance, State will move over to the right several sections next year and will take up some of the space that FSU and UNC hold now.

RE: when will ACC Tournament Tickets be mailed?

i read somewhere that the tickets were being assigned last week

you may want to call ticket office or WPC

football record prediction (2010) 3-9, 1-7 (2011) 5-7, 2-6 (2012) 7-5, 4-4
MBB prediction: (2010-11) 21-9, 10-6 (2011-12) 19-12, 7-9 (2012-13) 24-7, 12-6

Re: when will ACC Tournament Tickets be mailed?

Application clearly stated that tickets would arrive approximately one week before the event.

A better question would be "has anyone's credit card been charged yet?"... as I guess that is the only way one will know whether they made the priority cutoff or not.

Any information from others is appreciated.

Let me rephrase...

Has anybody actually seen where their credit card has been charged for the price of ACC Tournament tickets yet?

Tournament starts March 14th. That is 3 weeks from Thursday. Give it another 10-14 days.

As of today my credit card has not been charged. I have to know seven days before 3/13, i.e. by 3/6 or my hotel reservation is not refundable.

RE: when will ACC Tournament Tickets be mailed?

NCSU used up their full allocation and were working to get more tickets from other schools(turning theirs back in). They thought they would get more tickets so they were waiting on that from my understanding.
