what is really really hard to believe is that this was an accident and he thought she was an intruder? I mean the man has no legs but last I heard he is not blind also is he? Can you not take 1 second to visually verify who/what it is that you are firing at? Come on man. Even if an "intruder" is threatening you with imminent harm you still have a few seconds to see who it is?

The fact that Pistorius is a high profile athlete could cripple his defense, so he really needs to step up his comments to sway public opinion. He might walk away from this scot-free, but his lawyer bills will surely cost him an arm and a leg. He'll need to bring the prosecutor to his knees. The question remains, who is going to foot the bill?

Police spokeswoman Denise Beukes said earlier reports that the suspect had been surprised by his girlfriend and had thought she was an intruder did not come from police.
She said there had been reports from neighbours of shouting and screaming coming from the house earlier in the evening. She said police had been called to the house on previous occasions after reports of "a domestic nature".
He shot her 4 times. This wasn't an accident. Not only was this girl beautiful but she was intelligent having graduated from law school. This guy is a complete scumbag. Everyone rode his nuts because of the whole Olympic ordeal but after the Olympics passed he lost a race to a Brazilian with no legs and pissed and moaned about cheating. The guy is a grade A ****** and showed his true colors in that moment.
I wouldn't be shocked if this was roid related since all athletes seem to take them nowadays.

I'm sorry, but I just have to point out the flawed reasoning here. Denver says SA is a beautiful place to visit and that labeling it dangerous is unfair because of certain bad spots. The problem is, those certain parts greatly outnumber the safe ones, and the murder and rape numbers indicate that. If you looked at where tourists typically travel, yeah those spots are safe, they are also very limited. And no way in hell is Durham safer as a whole than Raleigh, give me a break. |

I know a lot of you are attempting humor, but I would suggest you do a little research on the problems in South Africa and the plight of farmers there. The government of SA has pitted black war veterans against white farmers and the results have not been pretty. I am not taking sides, but some of the things going on are brutal. It is bad. I know of some farmers who were forced off their property without a chance to take anything with them. They were fortunate enough to flee and actually live now in N.C. It is not a "pretty" situation. |
