According to Rivals, UNC is 40 and we are 47.....it's all relative.
I would put the least amount of stock in ESPN recruiting rankings. ALLLLLL hype that place is.

This just reflects back on TOB and how awful his recruiting was Coach D had almost zero time to add to it that is what is frustrating. Looking forward to seeing what Coach D and staff have for the future. I just get tired of saying that every several years.

Maybe the big surprise will be Julius Randle siging his LOI today!?!?!?!? Ha!! Anyway, if anyone expects this recruiting class to be top 20 from Coach D right away, you are smoking something fierce and need to pass it along. If we end up in the top 50, that will be leaps and bounds above where I thought we would be at this point. ESPN is the biggest and thats where most kids see where others are going. I WANT THAT HYPE. We sure didn't mind the hype in BB. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

 Well it would be nice to see a few more stars on that page. UVa is actually holding an event tonight at the JPJ Arena to introduce the signees. I guess that will be the next circus to come to recruiting. |

I remember a time long ago, during the glory years of State football, when Chuck landed a top 10 recruiting class. We rode that zenith all the way to the Tangerine Bowl. Coach Doeren can get us back there, you guys just have to show some patience.

Very true. Not surprising that espn is giving unc a generous ranking while they have struck out on many of their key recruits over the last few weeks. They have limped to finish line after a pretty good start. Coach DD has come on really strong in just a month and half. It gets even better next year. Their projections/assessments may not be as well founded as some of the others but they have the microphone and the camera on them. The hype they put out is seen and heard by many more people (including next year's prospective recruits) than anything published on a lesser known internet website. The ESPN message goes out over 5 or 6 TV channels and a radio network.
