It's early, but the Gen 6 cars don't look any more racy than the old cars. Lots of mirror driving and single file top line racing.

Got to love the overhype Danica the fastest in practice will receive. That kind of **** is meaningless at a track like Daytona. More has to do with knowing how to pick your spots with aggression, anyone can be fast. But wooooooo, anything to hype up a bust of a vagina.
As for the comments on the empty seats, I hope there are empty seats everywhere this year. I'm fed up with the direction NASCAR has taken under their leadership. I've gone from a fan to attended 3-4 races a year to a person who turns it on late in the race. It has gotten that boring for me. Racing used to be fun but now it has turned into everything else on this planet, all about money.

Nascar lost me when they turned their back on the South, and the true fans that made the sport. Not letting Bubba Watson drive the General Lee pacecar was the final straw.

$20 says Danica gets shuffled into the back before the end of the 2nd lap. No one and I mean no one is going to trust her. She will be left out to dry. Tony Stewart once said about Daytona qualifying: "A monkey could do it."

Probably the worst restructor plate racer in modern history is Carl Edwards. There's not a single pack of cars he doesn't relish destroying.

Yes, Earnhart cut down a tire going down the backstretch on the last lap. Cope passed him in 3 and 4 for the win. But Cope had a strong car all day that day and was able to hang on in the draft. Well, Danica has basically the entire crew of Dale Jr.'s DEI/#8 team as her crew now. That was Dr Jr's most successful run as a Cup driver.

Cousin Carl got his big contract. I do think tho he's worried about the TV career he thought was in bag; BradK does a much better job on the tube than Carl does.
Wouldn't that be funny if BradK not only is a Cup champion and Carl never is, but takes his TV spot also? |

My mistake on Bayne. I recall his crew chief running up/ down pit road trying to get David Ragan to team up with him.
Not sure what was going on with Gordon by that time.
I stand corrected on that one though.
As for Danica, I doubt she lasts to the finish but hell you never know.
Didn't Bobby Hillin Jr. win a plate race too?
If Kyle Petty could find his way to victory lane I bet Ray Charles could too.

See if I was a driver I'd want to pair up with an inexperienced driver if he's up there late. If you can push him to the front, he or she will be much easier to pass I would think than a seasoned vet. More likely to make a mistake. Early on though avoid young inexperienced drivers like the plague.

If Kyle Petty could find his way to victory lane I bet Ray Charles could too. Kyle Petty won 8 races so you can just cut that **** right now. He dominated Rockingham one year too basically lapping the entire field. Don't be hating on my boy KP.

Hey, I like Kyle. My dad had the opportunity to meet him and his crew many times (as a sponsor) and said he was great to work with.
It's hard to meet the fans expectations as a Petty I suppose.

IPt's hard to meet the fans expectations as a Petty I suppose. Richard Petty and NCSU fan here since about the age of 7, and I am now 45. Pull for the red and white and whoever is driving the 43 without question.

I honestly thought Danica winning the pole was some sort of evidence NASCAR is rigged. The coverage her and Stenhouse have been receiving is laughable in a bad way. |

Earnhardt ran over a transmission part, and Cope has it framed after Dale Sr. gave it to him. I was at that one and it was the damndest thing watching the Earnhardt fans go from joy to glum in about 10-15 seconds. Cope had no fans, of course, so really, there were very few people that left happy.

I'm a supplier to the teams so I pull for crashes. LOL! Will say that anyone that wants to go 196 around that place and still call her a fraud...have at it, but I'd be willing to bet you'd sh#t your pants.

Her balls are probably bigger than mine. (Of course, my boobs might be bigger than hers.) But I bet her car's got a little something extra that no one else's has. NASCAR needs a shot in the arm. And they need her to run up front. Not in 34th place like she did in the Nationwide series.
