6 with double figures (no - but 5 with 12+)

6 with double figures (no - but 5 with 12+)
Of note - we are 0.5 Purvis Points away from having 6 players averaging double figures. Has that ever happened? And (if so) has it ever happened with all 6 players playing a full season?
Seems to me that would be really cool if it happens.

With the way so many of the lower-mid tier ACC teams play slow-ball on us, I actually wouldnt be surprised to see us drop to 4 double figure scoters.

Even though it is possible, I agree that we will probably have a lot more games in the 50s and 60s so scoring numbers will likely go down.

A little of both. We have about as even a spread of talent as I've ever seen. Usually you see a marquee player or two and then a gradual drop off of talent as you go through the ranks. In our case we're like a fairly flat plateau of 6 players, and then dropping off into the abyss (scoring-wise, at least). (Unfortunately we'll be losing 4 of those 6 next year, but hopefully the void will be reasonably filled!)

Purvis up to 9.9 PPG after last night, after scoring 18.
Wood down to 11.7 after scoring 7.
Wood seems to be quite key to our game these days. Out of our last 10 games he's scored less than 10 twice, and those two games happen to be the two we lost.

The other 5 all had above their average, and are looking more like a lock for at least 10 PPG.

Little bit of hypothetical number play.
As it stands right now:
Leslie: 308 Total Points
Brown: 264
Howell: 255
Warren: 251
Wood: 235
Purvis: 196
All players have played 20 games.
The regular season is 31 games long. To average 10 PPG, each player needs to score at least 310 points on the season. With 11 games remaining, here are the numbers:
Leslie: 2 points remaining to hit 310, needs at least 0.18 PPG to finish at 10.0 or higher
Brown: 46 points remaining, needs 4.18 PPG
Howell: 55 points remaining, needs 5.00 PPG
Warren: 59 points remaining, needs 5.36 PPG
Wood: 75 points remaining, needs 6.82 PPG
Purvis: 114 points remaining, needs 10.36 PPG

1995 UCLA Bruins basically won the title with six players. J.R. Henderson averaged 9.7 ppg for the regular season, the only one of the six not in double figures.

After Miami, Purvis back up to 9.8 PPG. 215 total points, so needs 95 points over the last 9 games (10.55 PPG). Not sure if it would be a good thing or not, but I hope he scores 30 on Thursday night  . For kicks I googled, and was able to find one other example of a team with 6 players averaging double figures - the 1986-1987 UTEP Miners (Tim Hardaway was the 6th, with 10.0 PPG), though that was the only one I found. * Kentucky last year actually came dang close, with 6th man Darius Miller averaging 9.9 PPG (needed just 3 more points to average 10.0). *Edit to add: From what I've seen - Hardaway's stats for that year include the postseason (310 points in 31 games, including 4 tournament games. I can't find the necessary box scores though to see if he had 10.0 during the regular season or not). This site actually shows 9.8 PPG for him, with 304 points in 31 games.

Purvis may actually average a bit less down the stretch as I imagine Tyler Lewis will eat into his minutes a bit once Zo is completely healthy (hopfully for Thursday).

At this point I think the impressive thing to note is that we have 5 players in double figures and the lowest is essentially 12 points....not like we have 5 guys at 10-11 points.
