Will Virginia Tech go 0-18 in ACC play this season? NO 4-14
Seriously. Their roster is awful, the head coach has never been the head coach anywhere else before and oh by the way it's not football here for Virginia Tech. The first month and a half seems like an anomaly after seeing their last 3 games (losses by 36, 26 and 23) and I told a few VPI folks I knew this might happen, but said it mostly in jest. Now it looks very real as they enter conference play. Somewhere Seth Greenberg is smiling. NC State plays them in Raleigh on Feb. 16th and I wish we played them twice! What do y'all think? Will the Chokies set the ultimate mark in futility in the history of ACC basketball?

I think if they beat us, every PP poster in the history of forever will come and blame you for placing the hex.

I am sure they beat someone. They probably take us down to the wire if BC can do it.

No.
The ACC is awful this year. I mean really, really bad. We may only get 4 teams in the NCAAT.
We can even curse other teams from afar. - rswilli2

They did beat Oklahoma State, handily, unlike a certain team we cheer for. EastChapelHill04Class wrote: Seriously.

Possibly, but I'm willing to take that risk by throwing this out there since it's a possibility considering their schedule, lack of talent and lack of experience at head coach. Remember this team has lost 4 of its last 5 and the 1 win was in overtime, at home, against Bradley.

I think they'll win at least 4 ACC games. That is how bad the conference is.

Re: Will Virginia Tech go 0-18 in ACC play this season?
No way they will go 0-18. Are you really serious? They didn't look good yesterday, for sure, but they will win 3 or 4, minimum. They will probably be near the bottom though. A few wins at home, like maybe 3 and maybe a road game or 2. Road games will be tough for them, from what I saw.

Re: Will Virginia Tech go 0-18 in ACC play this season?
My guess... they won't go winless.... and unlikely at the other end of the spectrum any team sweeps the schedule -- though Duke may be able to do it given their ability to effectively utilize the poor officiating in the ACC to their advantage... still, 18 games is a long time not to have an "off night" where it just isn't working. We won't go undefeated nor will the Cheats...and the middle of the conference is a bunch of 9-9 teams just waiting to happen. The Hokies will likely not be in the middle pack but in the lower third that fight it out amonst thereselves to get 2-4 wins.

No, Erick Green is one of the five best players in the league and there are other bad teams in the league.
They might not even finish in last.

I knew they were bad but I didn't know they were that bad I've always been told by old heads at State that the Clemson teams in mid 50's were the worst. That GT team was bad, but they were coming out of the metro into the ACC. What made the Clemson team so bad was that they were not really in a different conference in 53-55, IIRC an old posting from the ACC boards, they couldn't beat the Citadel, Furman or Davidson in that period, let alone getting killed in the new ACC round robin.
I like the athletic type.

I think they were garnering votes in both polls a few weeks ago. I'll take (or give) the points in their games vs. Wake, B.C., Carolina, and Virginia.
VT is athletic and much better than last year. They will miss Greenberg.
