The NC State track and field program raised the curtains on its 2012-13 season with an impressive showing Saturday afternoon at the JDL Fast Track Kick-Off, as one school record fell in the men’s jumps and first place performances were abundant across the board for the Wolfpack.

Senior Kris Kornegay-Gober broke his own school record in the high jump, en route to a first place finish in the high jump with a 7’ 4.25” leap. The jump topped his record-breaking performance at last year’s ACC Indoor Championships, where he recorded a 7’ 3.75 jump.

NC State freshman Samantha George has been selected to represent Team USA at the 2013 North America, Central America and Caribbean (NACAC) Cross Country Championships. The event will take place at the Manchester Golf Club in Mandeville, Jamaica on Saturday, Jan. 26.

The 87th running of the Wannamaker Mile, the final event of the Millrose Games, is schduled to start at start at 9:50 p.m.

The meet will be broadcast live on the Internet for free on ESPN3/Watch ESPN from 7 to 10 pm ET on Saturday. It will be broadcast on tape delay on ESPN tv on Sunday from 8 to 10 pm.
